So sad

thats why i said every thread. not just this one. The OP besides beeing wrong about this actually has a point. And as i mentioned before just "beeing sick" of something doesnt justify anything. Hell im sick of MMORPG they should stop making this game. Is this valid? no.

i can agree with you that you at least should have valid arguments. But here comes the thing, more ofthen than not people that are acting defensiveley for ZOS (for no aperent reason that is) are the ones that lack any point, and just saying beeing sick of all the flaming just does not justify raining down unpleasant posts on anyone that is bothered with the current state of the development.

He's already explained this, but let me reiterate. The constant rain of the same complaint over and over about the same thing doesn't justify further flames to a game that's not even finished yet. Some people ARE actually EXCITED about the game. They have just as much a reason to defend it as someone who has already decided not to buy the game and is just complaining about it. Actually, they'd have more reason to defend it than the other has to complain.

You are also taking the rebutals of complaints waaaaaay off field. No one is overly/aggressively defending the game. In fact, its just the opposite.

Also, it's "being" not "beeing" for future posts.

He's adding to a sea of un original hate posts which have been swarming this board since it was created; not only that he chose not to simply look at who the developer was which in my book is just ridiculous.

Also, I'd like you to point me to numerous posts to people who are "blindly" defending the game. I would imagine for a game that has so much negative feedback surrounding it, that the people who have been actually defending it are defending it for a reason; some people actually like the artstyle or the faction system.

Also, all of this comparison to WoW's combat system I find a little ridiculous; WoW characters don't have stamina bars which determines how often they can sprint, interrupt attacks, or block. This sounds absolutely nothing like WoW and I honestly don't see where all these comparisons are coming from aside from the artstyle. I have complaints about the game as well but I don't come in here and boast to the world just like every other person has in the past month or so how much I hate what they're doing with the game and use the justification, "oh, well all those journalists said that the alpha gameplay they caught a glimpse of looks like WoW and it's not very cool!" Granted, it's all we really have to go on, but usually a reasonable person waits and see's the act for themselves before blindly agreeing with others.

Two things. First, you are complaining about an experience you haven't had yet. Second, since when does the amateur get to tell the artist what to do? What if Mona Lisa made a ton of demands to Leonardo da Vinci?
How do you know she didn't? Why do you think she's got that strange smile? (Are you aware of the theory that the Mona Lisa is actually a self-portrait in drag?) And, did she actually buy the painting, or was she the model?

In this case, we're the buyers, and we have a right to expect that the "artist" is going to do the work in a way that appeals to our impulse to buy. :)

but its all weve got so far. id rather complain than not.
Id certainly like to have a "ALL YOU CRITICISM HERE" Thread. That is properly moderated and anything. As it stands there is no such a thing. When in doubt let a mod handle it.

Silly, the Mona Lisa is actually a treasure map to an ancient Templar Stronghold, it was commissioned by the Illuminati, and is sentient. It was the driving force behind the Revolution, WW1, WW2, Vietnam, the JFK assassination, and the Persian Gulf War. The Mona Lisa started the Russian Revolution, and the rise of Communism. The Mona Lisa is lying in wait...lurking in the shadows...do you hear the calls...? The call...of The Mona Lisathu...hjyak xsassi Ctuhulu!

Except for the fact that a large group of people didn't approach Zenimax and say, "Hey! Here's a wad of cash, go make a us a co - op TES game." Some fans have been suggesting for a while that someone should make a multiplayer TES game, but I'm pretty sure no one walked up to a counter and "ordered" it with hard money. Some people act as if it's their money that Zenimax is using to create this game; so unless you're an investor in this game, this argument doesn't work.

Yes, we're allowed to complain. But it's more like a customer complaining that his steak needs more salt, when he hasn't even tasted it yet. Or can you tell if your soup is too cold just by looking at a picture in the menu?

or probably by the professional restaurant critics and random consumers that say the steak needs more salt...

i know we cannot know if its going to svck, i never said that. I said it looks like, if its going the way it currently appears to be going. I will not invest money in it. And from what ive heard from the Reviews of the E3 Demo. Things are looking dire.

No, it's more like a customer complaining that the steak appears to be made out of pork.

No. This is like a new Seafood joint sending out a flyer in the mail telling you in eight months we are opening a restaurant near you and you complain about it before trying it because of a few pictures in the flyer and a review you read online.

This isn't going to McDonalds once every three weeks and you pay for a chicken sandwich and they give you a cheeseburger instead. No money has been handed over and we have no experience or hands on with the game. I think I spoke to only one other person at E3 who frequents this forum that actually got to play the game, and only two other people here who saw it live. Im not saying its great or bad. Give it time and test it before you start complaining.

If a game is going a direction you don't like, you're allowed to voice your opinion. In my opinion, this game is going in the worst direction possible for an MMO, If every review I read about, except for one, is underwhelmed, don't expect me to be praising the game.

So from what little information and videos I've seen now, which may or may not be 100% accurate I am so dissapointed right now I can't even describe it. I've been playing TES games for ever and ever, and my friends and I have talked about how awesome a TES MMO would be since Morrowind first came out a decade ago. When I heard about the rights for the web domain names etc being bought for Elder Scrolls Online I knew they were going to make one... It was such an awesome moment. Ten years and It was actually going to happen. But then I see It's supposedly going to be... excusively 3rd person? No first person? That is literally the ONLY thing I wanted in this game since the day I played Morrowind for the first time.

Then I saw the screenshots and cutscenes. This looks like WoW. I don't think it looks as good as Oblivion did, definately not better. Then I heard them talking about gameplay. This is basically ANOTHER WoW clone with some nifty new ideas added. I really hope to god that isn't true though. If I wanted to play something that was pretty much WoW with a new combat system, I'd play TERA Online. Oh wait, I am and it's kinda boring. Or If I wanted to play an updated WoW clone I'd go play SWOTOR. Oh wait, it's terrible.

So basically it's the game we always wanted but with none of the really important things we wanted, by the looks of it. At this point I couldn't care less about anything other than being able to play TESOnline in First Person. But I guess that's not gonna happen. Ten year letdown, Gg Bethesda. So depressing.

What's with all this 'we' stuff, don't you mean 'i' or do you speak for everyone else?

You don't like the game, nothing is stopping you from leaving and never looking at TESO again,is their?

I mean.your not a troll are you, only a troll would stay on a forum of a game they don't like posting negative comments time and again, right?

Bye.

Some people are complaining, and some people are attempting to offer constructive criticism. If I heard that there was a new restaurant opening, and I saw from their flyer that they were planning to offer no vegetarian food at all, I might speak up, since I'm a vegetarian. I wouldn't necessarily expect my preferences to be met, but I wouldn't consider it "complaining" to express them.

The more complaints in separate threads the better. It's not spam if it's a new person putting in their personal opinion.

Stop complaining about complainers. How do you possibly think this game is going to be lifted out of the tar-pit its currently in if we don't fight for it? If you're just content to lean back and let this happen to TES, then I'm not even sure why you're on these forums, because you clearly don't care.

And to anyone saying "wait til you've played it" I get that, sure, but it doesn't take much of a brain to realize where this is going. I saw it being played first-hand and it looks horrendous. It's a mess and it doesn't take a genius to extrapolate how the rest of the game will be, even through beta. If you've been through an MMO from announcement to launch, you know how it goes.

Only if we're loud enough and numerous enough will this become a game we love and not a game we have to slog through just to play with friends in Tamriel.

Show me a successful MMORPG where the forum goers prelaunch complained and got the game changed?

What a joke.

The game is going forward and being made the way the devs think is best. If I even thought for a second Zenimax was going to listen to whiners and entitled single player folks I would stop following this game and never look back. Yes we can get a minuscule idea of how the game is going so far but fact is its your opinion that its not good. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it needs to be changed and 5 years of work thrown away. It just means *gasp* you may not like this particular game. Just because this is an Elder Scrolls game doesn't mean you HAVE to play, yes you do have free will, you can choose not to play it if you don't like it.

Instead of complaining about the complainers, maybe the defenders here could bother to mention some of the things they feel this game is doing right?

Only if we're loud enough and numerous enough

Be sure to keep an eye on our forum rules regarding the loudness of the voices though. Whilst we like to provide people with a place to voice their concerns, we do have to keep things under control if it's turning into a spamfest, empty ranting or flaming.

So I thought I'd pop in and mention this in general, so we're all on the same page again (and sorry Reymas for abusing part of your post in order to do so) :P

So again, while everyone is entitled to voice their concerns; please do so in a civilized and constructive manner; according to our forum rules. The developers are much more likely to read a constructive post than a pointless rant :)

We have.

Signal to noise ratio at this point as beyond workable. Hard to carry a proper discussion when threads get derailed and buried by endless "why I think this game svcks and im right your wrong change the game nao!" threads.

I like three faction PvP.
I like the art style of the land.
I like getting to go all over Tamriel even if it means going to different servers to make each type of character.
I like the minimalistic UI.
I like the small hot bar set. svcks being overloaded with abilities.
I like the synergy abilities.
I like open world dungeons.
I like how they make grouping sound even when you aren't grouped.
I like the combat. Some of us got press passes to go on hand with the demo. It won't be for everyone.
I like the solo story.
I like how the ai played when I saw it.
I like a few of the developers who are behind the PvP as I knew them from other games.
I like the TES lore and the era they picked.
I like not having to buy a super computer to run the game.

LOL okay....I really should never have replied to this thread in the first place, but here I go I will put in yet another reply. This btw is the 49th reply to this compaint thread, the hilarious thing is the OP has only posted once and that is the original post.......I suppose I shouldn't have fed the.....oh well. I don't have a problem with people complaining....but I really think we need to keep our complaints to the things we know to be absolutely true(which are few) and the other things should be "wish listed".
