Well your complete, going with the flow attitude made it seem like you really enjoyed mmos. I did jump to the wrong conclusion and I apologize.
However you don't think if this is a success it will affect the future of Single Player TES?
Also if none of those mmos did it for you why are you so objective about TES MMO? Is just based on the TES part?
I'm genuinely interested in your opinions here.
It can affect the future of the single player games, but we don't know how. However it is very, very absurd to say it will "kill" the single player games. Why? Neither Final Fantasy XI nor the
total flop that was Final Fantasy XIV had any bearing on whether or not the continued single-player games were made. Hell, Final Fantasy survived through the sci-fi movie that tanked almost as hard as FFXIV. WoW didn't hurt Blizzard in the least, nor did Star Wars Galaxies hurt Lucas Arts or Sony Online Entertainment. All of those companies either still make single-player games or are still in business.
I stopped playing MMOs due to the time commitment that almost always needs to be put into them. They can be fun, and some of them were, but you have to devote a lot of time to them. I like multiplayer but just not how MMOs do it, in order to be "better" at the game in PvP you have to devote time away from actual PvP.
I'm objective about the TES MMO because it doesn't matter if
I like it in the grand scheme of things. I am but one person. I am objective because if it works, if it's balanced and it's still fun to play then who the hell cares how they present it to us? If the MMO is fun, works and is balanced for the majority of the people who plays it then it doesn't matter that they made an MMO; because it's fun.
