As for the meat industry.
People still eat meat and need easy ways of obtaining it. The meat industry provides that easy way of getting it. Restaurants don't hunt their own meat, they import it, buy it. Stores don't hunt their own meat they import it, buy it. There will always be a need for the meat industry no matter how much "better" hunting it yourself is.
There are places, both stores and restaurants, that buy their meat from hunters, free-range farmers, organic farmers, etc. I can name several just off the top of my head.
It looks to me like you're trying to justify a position -- hunting is barbaric and not "classy", everyone should buy mistreated meat -- that is, well, kind of unjustifiable. If you want to buy that kind of meat, fine; there's not really any argument you can offer that justifies people abandoning other meat for your preference, though. Seeing as, you know, it's the worst option.
The best argument would be that it's cheap, but even then there are plenty of other sources of protein and iron that cost less.
