six?

Post » Sat Aug 15, 2009 2:23 pm

I don't mind romance, nudity or six, but no cheesy six cutscenes in underwear like those in Dragon Age please.

I can take romance, but no six OR nudity, with an emphasis on nudity.

Well nvm, I can take SOME six, but make it an optional thing. I don't want it to be obvoius, for example, if I wanted to go to a brothel, I would have to ask around the slums for example.

Exactly. Grant me the small mercy of a fade-to-black, please.

I think that if it's done well, sure, but otherwise no. I liked the way it was done in Mass Effect, but I think it worked mainly because of the amount of and the depth of the dialogues you could have with people. It wouldn't work in TES unless they totally revamped the way you talk to other characters. The six would be as un-exciting as playing a slot machine, or the persuasion mini-game in Oblivion.

No, it just doesn't fit into games very well. Games have the media breathing down their back, something like this just adds fuel to the fire. It's totally unnecessary.

I don't honestly care if it's in the game as long as it's not displayed in a childish way, it should be mature and meaningful (unless your in a brothel  ).

I don't care if It's in the game, and I find it childish and immature to hide and avoid the topic of six.

if there was six in the game that would mean alot of the younger crowds wouldnt be able to play the game, which means less copies sold, and less money for bethesda. overall its a bad idea.

No. No. No. No. No. No. And No for good measure. I don't want TES to be labeled as a pormo game.

I love six. six is natural. And the prosttutes is a real faction in the Elder Scrolls world (see Daggerfall). So include six, yes.

The thread is almost dead so I'll be brief with this.

Lets look to ME, 2 especially. It has the most character development of any CRPG and I still think the six scenes included added no more to the game than some drool on a few controllers and mice. Haven't played NV but FO3, OB, and MW have all included the idea of six in there game better than a fade to black with sound effects ever will. There is a lot to be said about subtlety in gaming, and more so with the gaming content that has been coming out.

I wouldn't mind, but it probably wouldn't be done well, so whatever.

It's extremely childish and gratuitous... unless it serves a purpose in the story.

Don't put six for the sake of having six in a game... it's degrading to the game and to the industry.

I wouldn't care for anything graphic, but If the writers can subtly explore sixual themes in the game, why not?

Damn, I was sure Bioware was american. Well this proves that all the best CRPGs come from Europe. Riiiight?

ME1 love-scenes > ME2 love-scenes because Bioware caught crap. The Liara scene in ME1 was especially beautifully shot, and really added something to the game, but because some [censored]s got worked up into a Jesus-Values frenzy (Fox), we won't see anything that well-done again, only the ME2 style foreplay, which kinda blew, IMO.

I'm not a perv, but I want a love-scene in a game to be a love-scene, not a watered-down black-screen talking.

OT: Do it right, or leave it out. Mass Effect did it right the first time, and the right-wing media jumped their asses for it.

i think it wouldn't be necessary or appropriate to show everything but give sort of an animation that fades in and fades out

Fable, Mass Effect and other RPG's got away with it. I don't see how Skyrim couldn't.

My biggest problem with six in video games is that it's always geared towards the male player (at least heterosixual males). I realize that this is the primary demographic of gamers, but I always feel ignored as a female player. In a lot of games, I also find it quite degrading to women, such as in Fallout 3 & New Vegas. So if naked dancing women are included, for example, then they should have just as many naked dancing men IMO.

Yeah this. It's not immature in my opinion if it's more realistic rather than catering to just the heterosixual male. It almost always focuses on women. It's even more blatant when the only same six relationships allowed are between women, suggesting it's not meant to be an option for women who are into women, but rather it's something that heterosixual males may find appealing.

So yeah, I don't mind sixual themes unless they are geared only towards the heterosixual male. That said I doubt Bethesda would do that. There are references to six and non-heterosixuality in Oblivion. A man's diary talks about his long time companion as being a "beautiful male," and then there's the Khajiit book that clearly acknowledges different orientations (while at the same time promoting casual group six).

It's clear that those that say Oblivion pretends six doesn't exist are wrong. I do not think the game needs it, but I don't oppose it. I voted yes because of that. It's been a part of the series so there's no reason for them to remove it now. If they add it as a character interaction though, I definitely hope it's not as the typical "let's get the heterosixual males worked up" thing, which is in my opinion immature.

How is six childish? We are all here thanks to someone having it.

If it's okay to kill the virtual guy and having his red pixels spread all over the screen how it's not okay to take his clothes and see his naked pixelated butt? Is that where we draw the line? Virtual decapitation okay, but virtual briasts, ah childish.

I play games to do things I can't/don't do in real life, like swinging a twohanded battleaxe over my head down on my soon-to-be-wormfood enemy. Or to cast a spell that heals or make wounds.

I don't understand why people want to play games and experience things that you can do in real life, like playing soccer or have six. Hence that is why I voted No and Childish on the poll. If anyone have any good opinions about this matter then please do enlighten me :P
