For goodness sake, don't skip school and jeopardize your grades.
Fill your head with as much knowledge as possible, so that in future you can get a job with a huge salary and buy a nice high end computer and all the games that you want.
Don't jeopardize your job during this time of economic uncertainty.

There is time for playing, and there is time for school/work.

You can't be serious? I'm skipping school. I'm doing A levels now so its my choice entirely. I only have two hours and I'm more than competent enough to be able to cope without them. So try not to be so damn condescending next time and (what I agree to be) your actually quite helpful advice won't go amiss.

The only thing that really svcks is that I couldn't get off work saturday... Yep. 5 in the morning here I come!

work in a school in the UK and our admin staff have already sent out bulletins for this week regarding absences for the two major game releases this week. MW3 and Skyrim; Admin staff will be contacting parents of pupils absent on those release days to ensure parental knowledge of adsence!
its shocking that game releases are now effecting youth to such an extent that this is the case!
i love my gaming, but to consider skipping a day of work just to play? nope wouldnt happen.
neither would it have during my education

This is what this generation is coming to. I would never in my wildest dream consider skipping school, even if I had flu, never mind a game release. Because it would be hard to catch up.
When I was in uni in another country, I would never skip a class. Even if I was bored, I would sit there and sit through the entire lecture, rather than fire up my laptop and play games during the lecture like what this current generation would do.

I'm just so busy at work at the moment, that I couldn't contemplate taking a day off, sick or holiday.

I'll have plenty of free time on Friday and Saturday evening though

Lose a days worth of welfare or play a video game... Hmm. I wonder I wonder... I'll take the money. Playing a video game I can do when works over.

I've just told the wife that I will not be available to talk, cook or any kind of interaction for 2 days from tomorrow, so from tomorrow afternoon, after I have walked my dog, that's it, my Dummer will be born.

I play at work, so no skipping there. I will just start my second character at work. Unless, there′s a way to play one char on two comps, but I don′t know if there is. If there isn′t I′ll just create my assassin dark bro at work.
