Skyrim gets boring to fast

Post » Thu Aug 09, 2012 10:10 am

haven't you guys experienced this? I though I would play this game for atleast 500 hours, but I have only played 92 hours and I bought the game on 11.11.11 so what makes it get bored really fast? I dont really know.
Do you guys maybe know any way to get the boreness out of the game? I have bought dawnguard, finished it and got bored again, I finished quite some quests. downloaded tons of mod but still it gets me bored really really fast.
I have player morrowind for 967 hours total and oblivion for 476 hours. but skyrim has almost everything the perfect rpg needs but still it doesn't satisfy me.

To the OP, though, what have you tried so far? Do you roleplay?

could be possible, actually maybe yes.. I find it hard to get a side quest that gets you attached to more quests.

I have roleplayed, downloaded lots mods, everything that would make it even more fun to play but none of this has given me the ultimate rpg experience. to be honest it was even more fun waiting for trailer releases until 11.11.11 then actually having the game

I find the game becomes boring for me once my character gets 2 or more skills to 100. Then it takes me forever to level up, and in most cases your most used skill is at 100 and doesnt advance anymore. So with my sword wielding dude, killing guys with my sword doesnt progress my level any further, therefore what is the reason to keep playing the RPG?
Once that happens, i gotta start a new character, even if i havent completed the main quest or whatever.
The game in general isnt boring for me, its when my character reaches about level 35-45, then i gotta retire the character because i dont play RPG's once i get to the point where i dont level up anymore, then its not an rpg its an action adventure game like banjo kazooie. Also i dont like having to use skills i never use just for the sake of leveling up.
But yeah ive donee over 900 hours into skyrim and still havent done all the guilds/questlines or even all the side quests and havent played dawnguard. So theres still untouched content for me, but ill eventually get to it with one of my random characters. (still havent been bored enough to make a character to join the bard's college, or do the stormcloak rebellion)

If you play any game for a large length of time and spend tons of time on just that game, it will get boring. Just play something else for a bit.

Yes you can...with this simple tutorial, even you can be a pimp in Skyrim!
STEPS to Being a Pimp in Skyrim
  • Find Hroki.
  • Push people into her.
  • Pickpocket her gold.
  • Yell in the real world, where's my money you slinky skeever!
  • Punch her.
  • You are now a pimp so wear
    Spoiler
the Emperor's robes from the db quests.
Its as easy as that.

Yes, it gets boring fast for me. The only way to renew my interest was to start new characters after long breaks.

What if i wanted to RP a kaahjit that is super acrobatic and uses throwing knives/stars? oh wait i cant.
How about a spear weilding knight? oh yeah cant do that either.
What about a bard? Oh yeah cant play any instruments, and the bards college has nothing to do with being a bard.

Theres a lot of limit to what you can and cant do in skyrim. Yes it is a great game, but not even close to greatest game ever or limitless.

I haven't played this anymore till dawnguard was available for pc. Yeah after you play the same game for a long while it gets boring, but that is not the subject for me.

Since You have sytem specs in your Sig, add some mods.
Dawngaurd is not that buggy.
EDIT I just reread your first post, but I agree with the RP on a new character posts.

I think this is true. A short while ago I found myself a bit bored in Skyrim so I played some Oblivion and some Morrowind, and now I am having fun in Skyrim again.

Of course, it could be that the game itself doesn't have that lifespan for you personally. Not everyone will enjoy the game equally
