Is Skyrim like Ireland?

read what the devs said about when they designed Skyrim. They said tundra.

I think it is common nature that the Nords and Skyrim is cosmetically influenced by the Norse and Scandinavia. Like someone previously said - it is more the stereotypical Norselands of fantasy fiction.

I think it is the Bretons who are more cosmetically influenced by the ancient peoples of western Europe
Once again, I am noting the similarities, I wouldn't agree with the Bretons being like the Irish, I don't know about the other people this side of Europe but I think the Nords who are a hardy people, which through my experiance irish people are like.

I've worked and lived all over the British Isles. When I see Nords of Skyrim I certainly don't picture the Irish. Vikings and the Baltic region I do. Longboats, longhouses, the chainmail armor, the style of helmets, war axes, broadswords... etc etc

The Forsworn I can more so see a likeness to ancient Celts such as the Picts and old pagan beliefs of the herne and the horned god etc.

The Forsworn are a bunch of unorganized savages, in medieval Ireland the High King and his armies looked more prepared. But I do see how the whole Viking style is more like the Nords but I still do see quite a lot of similarities between the historic Irish people and the Nords.
