Will you be updating this now that the 1.4 update is out for everyone? It's one of the last mods keeping me from updating. :|

Heheh this is why I dont patch Beth games too quickly ;)

Breaks too many mods. And dont really need 1.4 before the CK ships really...

In a week most SKSE and Scritpdragon mods will probably work fine with 1.4. Then Ill update! :)

Do you think it is possible to make a version that allows to fill smaller gems when no gem of the same size is available? Rather than losing an entire greater soul, at least recycle a part of it to fill one petty gem.

Thank you for the wonderful mod.
this is the only skse plugin I use that has not yet been updated for 1.4, understandable as it's only been a few days, and I am holding off updating for now even with the performance boost I could use.

I have a workaround for not having a working smart souls mod. Simply stock a silly number of petty soul gems and never worry about petty souls stealing powerful soul gems.

I did that before I used this and I sometimes would still end up with a few grand gems with petty souls even when I had empty petty gems.

I beleive I have also encountered that strange bug. Appears my solution is is subject to faults.

The other alternative is simply to drop a larger soul gem that acquires a smaller soul, then when you pick it up again it will be empty - at least it would be in previous versions - I hope that hasn't been patched out!

I'm not trying to rush you, I'm just saying... My whole style of playing changes without this. I can't use my soul trap weapons. I have to use Fire/Lightning weapons instead of Fire/Lightning/Soul enchanted weapons. D:

I've been looking at soul gems in the CK.

There's a lot of inconsistency with them for some reason.

Believe it or not, there's "a" Grand Soul Gem (not sure if it's a quest item or what) that's associated with Petty Souls. WTF?

For instance, the "Linked to" category for some of the unfilled gems are marked "NONE". Example:

SoulGemCommon is linked to NONE

SoulGemGrand is linked to SoulGemGrandFilled

Would fiddling around with what they're linked to even help at all, though? Hmm.

Edit: Note, just mentioned the two above. There are a few others. All the Filled ones do seem to be linked to their non-filled counterparts.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8971 will let you pool all of your captured souls and then redistribute them. It's still not the same as Smart Souls, but at least it will help. :)

Yeah, I all ready use that one. Was just wondering if soul gem shenanigans was due to the inherent inconsistencies. Personally, I don't even use enchanted weapons. Adds an extra level of difficulty to fights that I like. :D
