So Stupid

There are Chaurus (relatively easy, but can prove difficult in numbers) and Chaurus Reavers which are larger, harder and can easily kill the most experienced dungeoner. Followers also don't level with you so if your using one you've had for a while chances are it's not going to be very effective against them. Not only do they hit hard but most of the time it's the damage-over-time poison that gets most players. Bring a few anti-poison potions, a better follower and hit it from as far away as possible. Or run away very fast.

Novice and you find it too hard that bethesda needs to tone it down?

Not sure if OP is serious or just trolling.

I played on Novice for quite some time, and still had a lot of difficulty with lots of enemies. Why? Because I didn't walk around in legendary Daedric armor and carry a legendary Daedric sword

hey, hey, hey! i have not once abused smithing (yet) and most of my characters are different types of sneak-thief, so no heavy stuff
well bulls are cattle to humans, but i'd much rather take on a ranch hand than a full grown steer...

i doubt the falmer are not smart enough to tame animals the same way humans are considering they are little more than animals themselves

After doing the thieves guild quests, I only ever use the Nightingale Armor and I'm now lvl 47. As well as being the best looking armor in the game, it gives some good bonuses for a sneak thief type character.
However, a good bow with damage enchant, good arrows and a necklace and ring with Archery enchant bonuses and you never really need armor, nothing ever gets a chance to do any damage except a dragon.

OP, there are several things you can do.

First, leave and return when you're stronger. There's no shame in that, beats dying.

Second, change tactics. Are you melee? Then get a bow and sneak and shoot at long distance. Or get some spells like lightning, flames, etc. Ice spell to slow them down. Also, when you are almost out of health, drink health potions - the game is stopped while you drink and get your health back.

Good luck.

i dont think there that difficult either (and im playing on master) but it does say on the loading screens that the Chaours are on of the ''most dangerious and feared creatures in skyrim, adventures going deep underground should beware''

just because dragons are big doesnt mean there the most dangerious, for example a lion/bear could maul and kill you in seconds yet you could equally kill it with a gun or a well placed/used spear etc and you can see/dodge them as much as humanly possibly but yet theres a micoscopic insect that lives in the amazon which can swim up your pee line and inflame and kill you that way, and you cant see or notice it.

I had a hard time with them once... when I had a pure mage and fought them too early... and the REAPER, omg that thing was hard. Ran into them again around level 40 and thought, "what was wrong with me, these things are so easy to kill!"

They have a lot of health if fighting them at low levels, but once you have high damage output they are a breeze.

If you are playing on novice your likely problem is that most enemies die in a couple hits, so your offensive attacks are not leveling as fast as your support skills. Now you are fighting an enemy with a lot of health and don't have the damage output to kill it fast enough. What level is your primary offensive skill(destruction, one hand, two hand, archery, etc.)?

By level 30 it should be in the 75-100 range easily.

P.S. The enemy 'types' level with you. Individual enemies do not. A chaurus is a chaurus no matter your level. At higher levels you will run into Chaurus reapers which are harder, but there is no chaurus harder than a reaper and reapers do not level with you. Same goes for a bandit, bandit outlaw.......... bandit marauder. Dragons......... ancient dragons. Whether you are level 1 or level 72 a basic 'dragon' will always be the same, and an ancient dragon will always be the same. Which means at level 72 a basic dragon dies VERY VERY fast.

The exception to this would be the random enemies who are simply called 'argonian, dunmer, imperial, etc.' enemies that you meet in the wild who attack on sight... and probably thieves.

just dont do it again
Ants and aphids, dude, ants and aphids.

the falmer (literally, in a sense) became animals after the dwemer experimented on their bodies and (presumably) minds and turned their once black soul (human/mer/satient being soul) into nothing but white souls (animal souls). they did have intelligence, at least enough to declare an unwinnable war, but now they are near mindless beast. they have gone feral without their masters to beat them down, a sad but undeniable fate.

Check if you are using your mouse correctly

Check if you are wielding a weapon and not using your fists

If the first two tips fail you can use sneaky bow attack > one handed - restoration combo when melee

What is your primary offensive skill, and what level is it? I still think that your offensive skill is just to low compared to your character's level which is common playing on novice.

I don't think enemies level up, at level 9 some enemies could slaughter me, some I could one hit. It's the same later on.

But I know the chaurus things are hard! I was running form 2 of them with my lv 9 character in Blackreach, I ran up some stairs and killed them easily by circling them while attacking, try that (:

Personally I'm glad there is a difficult monster in the game. When I see one I know I have to be on my toes. It's refreshing.

But if you hate it that much use Kyne's Peace. It works on them.

Just casting a spell or using a sword/bow gives you points, not only killing. Stand somewhere out in the open and just keep casting/swinging/drawing at a rock and watch your skills increase. I did try with the dummies at the garrisons but too many soldiers didn't have the intelligence to keep out of my way and I became KOS too many times, so I now use a rock somewhere outside the city. It would actually be nice to have a house with a big yard and a dummy in it to practice on where nobody is going to wander across your path and get killed.
