SubWay - Eat Fresh: What do you put on your sub?

Turkey, bacon, tomato, mayo, mustard. That's it.

I go to Montana's because I don't think I could personally make a burger that tastes better, I go to a pizza place near where I live because they have some of the best pizza I have ever had. Every sandwich I have gotten from Subway feels like a regular sandwich that I could have easily made. I don't hate Subway, but I don't like eating there either.

Tbh if I went out somewhere specifically to have something nice to eat, I wouldn't get a sandwich. I see what you mean, but I view Subway not as a "nice" place (though I still think they are delicious, but that's just my opinion) but as somewhere to get something quickly (i.e the microwave meals of food outlets) if you are out, say, shopping and are feeling hungry. Depending on what you get, it can also be healthy.

So, I went to Subway yesterday, and the guy working there tried to convert me to Christianity. It was pretty insulting, but he gave me extra cheese on my sandwich so I guess it's ok.

Subway is the epitome of mediocre so if I make a sub I will generally just buy the stuff and make it at home. I prefer ham and will put lettuce, tomato, dill pickle and either Italian dressing or Ranch dressing (lightly) as a condiment. If I have the veggies around, I will add on cucumber slices and shredded carrots because the carrots actually go very well with ham so it's like a salad on a sub. Mayonnaise is a nasty substance so I don't generally use it. If I'm in the mood, I will put a light amount of onion also but I usually only prefer onion on burgers, not on deli meats.

I never liked Subway. It tastes like something I made at home. I get Cousin's or Ella's Deli (a local place).

I did go to Subway one time and have the $5 foot long meatball & pepperoni sub and it was delicious, but unfortunately it was just a sub of the month.

I don't want to be "that girl" here, but does anyone else notice an unidentifiable scent emulating from Subways?

I think it has something to do with the bread, the way they bake it or something.

I dunno...but it is enough to turn me off from eating there sometimes.

Oh man I would devour that right now.

The Italian bread alone is awesome...

Yeah you can always smell a subay. They do it on purpose to bring people in.

I am pretty simple with my orders. I love a meatball marinara footlong with some banana peppers on top. It is my favorite subway sandwich.

I only go there about once a year.
Foot long wheat, beef- double meat, Swiss, extra onions, extra green peppers, lots of mayo.

Well, I would say it is more likely to keep people out.

Given the business they receive, I doubt that's the case.

Back in Cali, I'd rotate between the Subway Meatball Marinara and Togo's BBQ Beef. Also, after high school I worked for a pizzeria that served sammiches, they had a roast beef sammich on italian loaf with mozzarella and garlic butter spread (edit: also jalapenos but since I don't like those I didn't add them to mine), best microwaved for a minute if too lazy to throw in the oven. Making me hungry.
