PC System Requirements Will My PC Run Dishonored?

^There must be something very wrong with that test. It says you have an Intel HD card (which is basicly a small GPU that is part of your motherboard). This would make it impossible for you to play games like Deus Ex HR, skyrim etc. 64mb vram is not nearly enough for those games.

Ok, so I guess I can run it! Plus Steam doesn't have a warning that I can't run it. Thanks!

This means if you have a mulit-core CPU with 64-bit windows, the game is optimized to run a bit faster for you.

Oh noes, systemrequirementslab.com says I don't reach the minimum requirements! My video card, specifically. Here is a picture of what's wrong: http://i.imgur.com/j63Fm.png. That 64/512 Megabytes does not look good. I can run other current games (Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Fallout: New Vegas, etc.) just fine! Do you think I can run Dishonored? I would really prefer it on PC, but I don't want to buy it only to have it not run!
System Requirements Lab isn't very accurate, I wouldn't rely on it. If your graphics card actually had 64 MB of VRAM as it reports you wouldn't even be able to run Oblivion on minimal settings.

So did we get an update on whether the GPU was a typo or not? I wont be happy if my laptop (which can run Skyrim, DE:HR and ME3 just fine) can't run this because of ridiculous GPU requirements.

I mean a bit of optimisation goes a long way with the PC market. Throw us a bone.

Ouch. I guess I'll have to wait until my next rig. Shame, I figured XP would keep me going until the next console generation.
Hehe, yeah, it only been 2 months since I got rid of XP myself.

If it really does not run on XP, then I'm skipping it ~and anything else that demands an OS past XP. If you notice, all the viral threats effect XP through Win7 ~because they are basically the same OS under all the fluff. If it really does require Vista, I would like for them to explain precisely why that is.

I'll see if there's any clarifications the team wants to share on the settings (XP, etc).

ok, someone help me here if they can. I have 3.4 i72700 and 8 gigs of ram so I know I'm fine there. system requirements lab is telling me my Radeon HD 6600 with a gig of memory isn't enough? is that true or is SRL just off? aren't the 6000 series cards better than the 5000 series? had no problem running DX HR on it with near max settings.

Yeah, that'd be great. Otherwise, not upgrading to windows 7 has finally bitten me in the ass.

Wasn't support for the XP going to end soon anyway? If that's the case an upgrade would be the only option. But again Microsoft's brainless pricing of a dumbed down OS is hurting everyone.

It is? I had no idea. But yeah, I've always found XP to be very reliable, so I never bothered upgrading.

I liked it. Didn't like it's style but it was effective. I am not sure on that update/support thing but I believe that was the reason why many people converted over to 7.

I think support for XP lasts until 2014. I'm not sure why Dishonored would specifically require Vista/7 if it runs in Directx9.

The official end of support for almost all versions of XP is 08/04/2014.

Most likely, after the end of support I will switch over to an offline environment for my workstation and use a linux distro for online web surfing.
(At least until until I get a look at Windows 9, or possibly I'll look into MAC OSX ~whatever version.)

I've more than enough games (not played or completed) to last past then; I have the CD version of Arx Fatalis (from when it released), and haven't ever completed it yet.
*(Though I use the GoG version and Arx Libertatis)

Well I got the date wrong...In any case, I hope we get an accurate report on these requirements. They just don't make sense. It's like I am reading them off some two bit site that made them up on the go.

A note I received on XP

The game runs on XP, but drivers aren't as actively supported on XP.

How much would I need to pay for a computer to run this flawlessly? I'm very short on cash, so I'm prepared to save over a few months. I've already got a ps3, but no way in hell I'll buy another bethesda game on ps3, I'll rather suffer the wait and get a good gaming pc while I'm at it. :)
