You will be able to play on med setting i reckon but don't expect to max TESO because you can max Skyrim.

You have a good laptop here and if you can play Skyrim on Max settings then you should be perfectly fine, however your CPU may lack a little in the power department, because MMO's take more CPU power then graphics unlike Singleplayer games. I personally can not give you a exact because I have never owned the Intel? Core?2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz So I am un able to compare it to a computer I had that had a Intel Core 2 Duo, Dual Core 2.4Ghz processor in it. But you should at least be okay anywhere from Medium to High if not Ultra. Still a little difficult to say yet, but like I had said above, check out Guild Wars 2 and look for its Ultra Settings compared to what hardware can run it and see if your laptop meets the standards.

I don't think he will be able to play TESO on ultra lol, at the most i reckon med to high with some key options turned off but even that is a stretch IMO.

Well I said if not ultra I should of said maybe, also he could still play on "ultra" but that may be mean the highest texture settings but no Anti-Alising. But it's still Ultra technically. Like I said in my post to him, I am not sure because I've never had a gaming laptop so I can not compare a mobile CPU and GPU to their counterparts for desktop. So this is where my experience weakens.

[censored] bro, it's a desktop that's 5 years old... not a lappy  Also, I'm able to run GW2 on max for the most part. I don't think I can upgrade the CPU without switching out the motherboard sadly... as is the case with most off the shelf Acers.. We'll see though. I just hope that they release system requirements soon so I know what I'm getting myself in to as far as upgrades... This game might cost a lot more than the box+sub lol.... for me anyway.

To date, there hasn't been a game that I haven't been able to run, but that's with minor upgrades(GPU/Ram). I just hope it is more optimized than GW2 was, and it should be fine... I mean hell, I can run AOC on max and don't lag out in sieges, and that says something (Funcom is [censored] for optimization)

I am sorry, usually CPU's and GPU desinated with a Q or a M so in a case such as GTX 650M would mean the GTX650 "Mobile" version. Sorry I may have miss read it. But still my anolysis is still the same.

So, just because a CPU may be a series older does not mean that it is not a powerful CPU.. In this case I gave him one of the best CPU's I could without spending to much. If he switched to a higher intel or even an AMD (IF the cores are the same) then he may experience a 10 FPS increase if it were lets say the next gen top notch CPU. And for $150.00+ more its just not worth it. And if he isn't doing a lot of application stuff such as photoshop, word, and more all at the same time then there is no need to go AMD, however I do have to say I am an AMD fan (I currently am using an FX-6200 and love it)

Also if you look I gave him a 7850..so I don't see the reason to add in the "you need at least a 7750"...
