Who WAS that? Was that mysterio? It couldn't be carnage. That would require venom first. I'm so confused :(

There was an after credits scene?

I knew I should not have left the theatre before the credits ended.

My first thought was that it was Norman Osborn. My brother thought that it was Connors' projection of his lizard personality, and claimed that it was the same actor that played Curt Connors. I didn't see or hear it clearly enough to be sure either way.

Have you not seen a Marvel movie in the last 5 years? They ALL have after the credits scenes.

Or he, y'know, didn't notice those. Because they come after the credits. And most people leave during the credits.

Why would people leave during the credits? You miss so much :) Like all the set up for The Avengers

Why would you leave during the credits
There is always massive queues and people talking/yelling/making noise and oh God the pushing and kicking, if I had space to swing a punch I would! But in most cases I stand still. Now since my heels have worn away I wait for the cattle to pass through the doors before I go anywhere - also I need to finish my food :P

Because unless a particularly amazing song is playing during the credits sequence, I'm officially done watching the movie when the words start scrolling. Putting an extra scene at the end comes off as self-indulgent, anyway, and that just makes me hate these movies even more.

Everyone assumes that everyone else doesn't want to sit around and wait for the credits to end because they assume that all of their friends are impatient...

People should really reach a consensus about this sort of thing before they go and watch a movie.

If I had a "friend" who took me to the new Spiderman movie and forced me to stay during the credits, he wouldn't leave that theater alive. :stare:

Part of the reason is because I usually watch the late night shows. After the movie ends and the credits start rolling I just want to go to sleep. Also, as someone mentioned earlier, unless the music is good or the credits are accompanied by some animation I don't bother to watch them.

Can't be sure. I think it looks is Electro, what with all the thunderstorms raging outside.

I sat through a decent portion of the credits even before "after credits" scenes became popular. And then, of course, once you know (from hearing everyone talk about the ones after, for example, Iron Man 1 and Hulk) that they're going to be there, you of course sit and watch. Anything else would be dumb.

(Oh, by the way - Brave has an after-credits scene. Damn funny one, too. If you see that movie, try to remember not to storm out of the theatre in a rage before it happens.)

Aww, but it's so hard for me not to storm out of anywhere in a fit of unnecessary rage. :swear:

So, I just saw this movie. I gotta say, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. I was worried when they said they were going to make Spiderman grittier, more worried when I saw the trailer, and kind of glum when I heard the initial critical reaction. I really liked it though, and I wasn't ever bored.

In particular, all the acting in this movie is so good. Connor was less over-the-top than William Dafoe's Norman Osbourne, but felt more real. Even as a kid I had trouble taking the Green Goblin seriously. I also really like how Spider-man moved in this movie. I don't think the previous trilogy really gave me a sense that Peter has spider DNA in him. Here the way he scurries about is very spider-like, and since I saw it in 3D all the web-slinging scenes were fantastic. Also in the list of things I liked better than I thought I would: blond Emma Stone. Holy crap, still insanely cute.

What did you guys think?

The movie shouldn't even exist to begin with. Rebooting a series just because it wasn't everything everyone wanted it to be is just as silly as Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut. I thought the trilogy was fine and will gladly go without even so much as giving the new movie a chance.

Aw, I missed that. I pretty much did leave that movie pissed.

I was expecting it to be Norman Osbourne, since Oscorp features so prominently (and I think the building that was the Osbournes' penthouse featured in one shot). Don't know much about Spider-man lore, so I didn't know what that was. I hope Curt Connors returns though. Actor playing him was great.
