The day of release?

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 12:49 am

I know this has been posted time after time but I keep seeing October 22nd and October 19th as release dates, I pre-ordered it from steam and I'm in Canada, which one is it?

Pretty sure that the 19 is North American release date. You could just check what time it unlocks on the Steam page to make sure.

How will my day go? Well I fear that if I go into too much detail I will definitely incur the wrath of a mod, so I'll keep it light.

It will be a Friday so I'll sleep, probably until about 2PM. Get up. Eat. Play some Fallout New Vegas. Go to the Gym at 5PM. Come back at 8PM. Eat. Play some more Fallout New Vegas. Sleep, probably until about 2PM.

^ That's the beauty of a wasted life right there people lol.

Yeah if you make 20,000 a year but like how life's going it's better than making 100,000 a year and hating yourself, my philosophy on life is I'm only on earth for a short time so I''m gonna [censored] as much stuff up as I can while I can.

I'll be picking up my Collector's Edition from Best Buy that morning, then spending all evening wearing out my thumbs after I get home from work.

You have to strike a balance, though. If you don't invest some time in self-improvement and accomplishment you won't have the resources to do some of the really fun stuff (like traveling). Besides, if you're lucky and make good choices you might end up with a good job that you actually like. :D

My day will start with my fiance and I getting up early to go down to our local gamestop, picking up our ce copies. One for me and one for her. She almost likes it more than me. Then well spend all day playing and smoking doobies and sharing stories about our mojave adventures.

Man your fiance sounds awesome. A chick who loves fallout and smokes weed. Can't blame you for popping the question.

Anyway here's my day (I get it on the 22nd so i'll be pretty tense by then knowing everyone in the states is having the time of their lives on it while i've been waiting)

5am- wake up and get ready for work
6am- get to work and try not to think about the impending awesomness that will soon takeover my life
1.30pm- leave work, race around to EB breaking god knows how many road rules in the process
2pm- Get home. Make sure i have enough food and water in my room to last a week or 2
2.15pm- Get some planks of wood, hammer and nails and seal up the bedroom door
2.30pm- fallout myself stupid

1 week later - emerge from my room after i run out of food. Call the authorities and tell them i'm ok they can call off the search party and start looking for another job

I'm going to do like everyone else

Wake up.
Go to work.
Get home.
Download FNV.
Play until I go to sleep which will be much too late considering I'll have to be up at 7AM the next day.

good thing tuesdays are my day off at work or I'd probably quit LOL (I hate my job as it is :P)
As work forces me to get up early I'll probably fall asleep early monday night wake up sometime in the morning and download off steam as soon as possible. As thats going I'll do my school work so I'll be ready to play when its done. Play nonstop all day until it gets late go to bed for work the next day (yeah I would love to call in sick I really would but I might as well call in to quit for all the good that would do)

Monday, 11:00 pm: Arrive at my local Gamestop
Tuesday, ~12:00 am: Get the game
Tuesday, ~12:30 am: Get home, turn on my PC, install the game, read All Roads at the same time, then watch the Making of DVD
Tuesday, ~1:30 am: Finally start the game
Tuesday, ~1 pm: Eat something, go back to playing
Tuesday, ~7 pm: Eat something, go back to playing

And so on. If the game is really good I may not stop playing until Wednesday night, during which I'll have to sleep as I have class the next day.

Sleep in till 12 (mail packages arrive around 1 pm) get something to eat, shower. Open box, shed a tear while opening box, read All roads while installing game, play, play, play, check clock, reminds himself he still has to have dinner even though it's 9pm, order pizza, run as fast as possible to the door to minimize my absence to the game.

Also dancing will be involved while accepting my package from the postal services.

Jingle Jangle Jingle by Kay Kyser

LYRICS:

Yippie yay
There'll be no wedding bells for today

I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle
(Jingle, jangle)
As I go ridin' merrily along
(Jingle, jangle)
And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single"
(Jingle, jangle)
And that song ain't so very far from wrong
(Jingle, jangle)

Oh, Lillie Belle
(Lillie Belle)
Oh, Lillie Belle
(Lillie Belle)
Though I may have done some foolin'
This is why I never fell

I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle
(Jingle, jangle)
As I go ridin' merrily along
(Jingle, jangle)
And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single"
(Jingle, jangle)
And that song ain't so very far from wrong
(Jingle, jangle)

[instrumental break]

Oh, I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle
(I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle)
As I go ridin' merrily along
(As I go ridin' merrily along)
And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single"
(And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single")
And that song ain't so very far from wrong
(And that song ain't so very far from wrong)

Oh, Lillie Belle
Oh, Lillie Belle
Though I may have done some foolin'
This is why I never (why I never) fell

I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle
(I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle)
As I go ridin' merrily along
(As I go ridin' merrily along)
And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single"
(And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single")
And that song ain't so very far from wrong
(And that song ain't so very far from wrong)

Ishall sing this song every amazing V.A.T.S kill i get in game. :woot:

Well I'm going to the midnight release so that morning I'll install and even though I wasn't going to play til I got home I will play as soon as it installs and then go to school and work then come home and wait til my babies asleep and play some more maybe or wait til morning.

You know what really svcks is that I didn't work all last week or today from being sick and this sickness could not have waited til this week or next week. It really svcks.
