My day will go something like this.

1. I will wake up and start downloading NV with my 100 Kb/s internet.
2. I will stare blankly at my screen with drool running down my face.
3. I will rage because the steam servers will probably too busy to handle my request.
4. Rinse & Repeat

:D

We'll be at the office as usual, but I imagine most of us on the Fallout crew will be skimming the 'net for reviews and first impressions from fans. :)

Well, October 22nd will be friday.
And next week will be the "autumn break" for me

I will be playing it all day long! Gonna film my first few minutes with Fraps and then post it on YouTube maybe.

I think that it should be declared a national holiday. Nobody should have to be inconvenienced by things such as work or school on a day like this :)

They don't, can always skip it. ;)
Might get fired or for the kids that don't show up at achool they might get spanked by their teachers/parents.

10/18:
11:30 pm - get ready and leave for the Gamestop to camp out.
11:30 pm - hang with the crowd at the store and get into a good geeked-out frenzy.

10/19:
12:00 am - act like a savage at the door who hasn't been fed in weeks, making desperate faces as the shop clerks inside
12:10 am - acquire my 3 copies and cackle like a fewl with the other fallout-geeks.
12:40 am - arrive at office, drop off Mike's copy (location kept secret for safety!)
12:45 am - text Mike, making it impossible for him to sleep or do anything else but come into work and get it.
1:00 am - Arrive at home to computer and office fully stocked and ready for a trip around the world.
1:15 am - Vacation in Vegas.

...

Some weeks later, if I'm still employed, I will emerge back in the real world having had a Las Vegas vacation like no other in history.

Yes, its going to be a very good trip. :fallout:

Nothing special. Probably read some reviews and first impressions. Then I'll wait until the price has dropped to an acceptable price range.

The release day will see me doing this metabolism thing I usually do when games are released. Other than that, I do not know, especially since I won't be getting the game that early.

1. Try and sleep in but fail and wake with the sun at 7am
2. SSS (S**t, shower, shave)
3. Make a fresh pot o' joe
4. Try to control OCD level anxiety while waiting last few hours til pickup time.
5. Leave 30 minutes early to get to Gamestop 10min away.
6. Wait in parking lot like obsessed holiday shopper (open-open-open)
7. Try to control OCD level anxiety while waiting last few tense minutes until pickup time.
8. Pickup game at 10:01 then fold space arriving back at home at 10:01:01
9. Write game to Hard Drive
10. Try to control OCD level anxiety while waiting last few tense seconds until finished writing.
11. Consult the spirit world and play!
12. Call in sick next two days

Probably not working that day so ideally I'll:

1) Wake up around 9am and make sure to get a good breakfast because I'll probably skip lunch.

2) Wait till afternoon then pick up the CE Edition from the mail .

3) Return home, glance at the cards but not all of them for fear of spoiling some of the character's surprise roles in the game for myself.

4) Scope out the DVD case and the game manual.

5) Install NV to the 360 and read the included comic/novel.

6) Play as long as I can with as few interruptions as possible which will be hard since my stepdad is a pain in the rear workaholic who can't stand to see anyone relaxing. Go to bed around 1:30am, satisfied. :)

Edit: Aw...nevermind. I'm not getting it until the 21st now. Had to wait so long to pre-order online at Amazon that "Release date delivery" was no longer an option. So I just paid 10 dollars more (one day shipping) to get it 2 days later. Oh well...better than getting it Saturday the 23rd, like I had initially planned.

Friday 22nd:

Walk down to Gamestation for around 11:40, pick up CE.
Head across the road and a few doors down to the pub.
Sit down with a refreshing cold pint of Strongbow and read All Roads whilst waiting on friends for our usual Friday lunch ting.
13:10 head home to install and play.

My game, if on schedule, is coming on the day of release. That day, I will have to study for my Sociology finals, and the same for the following days until Friday, at which point I will be at my girlfriend's place until Monday.

To sum things up, I probably won't be touching the game till the next week. Being with my girlfriend makes me quite happy, but... college is such a downer. I can, however, squeeze in the reading of the graphic novel.

Go to work
Have a bad day at work due to the slowing of time
Curse a little louder than usual at traffic on way home
Get home and look for my package
Curse at the UPS guy for being late
Excitedly open the game and put in my Xbox
Cry as I hear my wife say, "Are you gonna play that game or spend time with me?"
Think about giving her a sleep aid
Rejoice as I finally get to play as she sleeps on the couch
Have a bad day at work the next day because I am so tired

I suppose my copy will be delivered on the 22nd (should've probably gone to the store and done all that pre-order stuff)
but on release date I've vowed to stay away from the forum boards.
Kinda svcks really, I have soccer tryouts all week next week so that will kill alot of my playtime on Friday, and then my friends and I have already planned on being out all day Saturday. Sundays svck cause I know I gotta go to school the next day.

Man, I don't really get a good day for all this until the 29th.....
