Step 1 - Wake up around 1 PM :snoring:

Step 2 - Wait around until UPS shows up an hour or so later :whistling:

Step 3 - Notice the UPS guy arrive, go outside, kiss his feet and retrieve the game, possibly give him a $2000 tip :clap:

Step 4 - Go to my room, lock the door, put the blinds in the windows, call my little brother and tell him the secret code to get in my room for when he arrives from school, install FONV to my HD while reading the little book. ^_^

Step 5 - Play the game indefinatley. :gun:

Well, I like to wait a few days after release to make sure the game is really in stores (my store doesn't have new release games immediatly on the release date, besides, I don't want to have to fight through an immense crowd just to get a game).

So I reckon on the 22nd, which is on a Friday, I'll go to Gamestop after my last class ends at 3:20 PM. I'll pick up the game, take it home and play while having miller time. :celebration:

I meay get on on my iphone when I can't play to get my fix, but never if I have a chance to play.

I have got the game coming in the mail.
On the release day in the UK and im not doing anything else..
just waiting for the game and will then play for a good few hours.

Ive just started a new job so i dont go into work until 3pm so whenever my CE lands Thurs or Fri i will b straight on it install to my 360 first aving a look at all the cool stuff in the CE then playing, playing,playing non stop hopefully!! :fallout:

on the day of release? something like this:

*visit this forum, see a thread like "just installed NV and..."
*shut down my browser, disconnect my router, and go off and sulk for three days :bonk:

Being in the UK aside, I have work, kids, the whole thing to do. When they're all in bed I can settle down and run through the first hour or two.

Have to use the day off I planned to take the day after launch day to attend traffic court for a speeding ticket the following Friday. :swear:

So I'll have to drop by the store the weekend before and pay off the balance @ gamestop so they don't give my CE away then I'll need to swing by on the 19th after work and pickup my copy, if I can get a car, if not I'll have to wait until after court the next Friday. If I get my copy on launch day, I plan to play late and drink lots of caffeine for work the next morning... =p

go to community college from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and drag this girl i take to her cross country practice with me to get it. she'll be calling me a nerd the entire time, and i will not be giving a damn XD. then after dropping the little [censored] off, coming home and doing nothing but playing the game for the rest of the afternoon until 8, watching tv til 10, then resuming til some odd hour of the early morning.

if so I know your problem most of my friends are girls and i find it hard to have a convorsation about a game like this without them saying "wwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttttttt"

At 10:30 call gamestop and ask if they have New Vegas in stock, and if they have collectors edition.
Walk over and buy it.

I will more than likely be here assisting others who are already playing it the night of the 18th since I'm four hours behind the east coast. Maybe start downloading the game from steam while I do so unless they make me wait for midnight AK time. It should only take about 6 hours to download and be available to me the next morn when I get up. Then I will be on here and playing the game one or the other non-stop for a couple of weeks.

Play... For the next 3 days straight. (Yay Friday release)

1. Sit on my couch.
2. Throw some form of snack cracker at my dog for an extended period time, or until he's able to catch 10 in his mouth consecutively.
3. Walk outside and frighten the kids in my neighborhood that skip school everyday - hoodlums...
4. Take my dog for a walk around town, while wearing blackened sunglasses to recreate the appearance of a blind man, and try to count how many people stare and/or perform inappropriate hand gestures directed to me, with the mindset that I can't see what they're doing.
5. If my game hasn't arrived by this time, journey to California, break into the Obsidian building, and hold Josh hostage until someone gives me my game, or until Mr. Sawyer signs my bare chest.
6. If I have now received my game, tear the annoying plastic wrap off of the case, and gently insert the disc into my Xbox.
7. Play me some New Vegas, while all of the computer users sit at their monitors, waiting for their game to install...

Yay first post!

On Launch Day...

1. Presumably pre-load FNV onto my laptop via Steam.
2. Go into work @ 6AM, with my laptop.
3. 11:45AM - get sammich from Potbellies
4. 12:00PM - launch FNV when it unlocks from Steam
5. 12:05PM - eat sammich while waiting for Steam to unlock, along with several thousand other folks.
6. 12:15PM - create my character and play for the rest of my too short lunch hour.
7. 6:00PM - get home from work, kiss my fiancee "goodbye," order pizza for us, & play for the next 36 hours (as I took Wednesday off of work).

I'm in the UK, so I'll have it after most of you guys But when I do get it, I will ignore everyone and cram in as much as I can before I have to put on my posh frock and go to a wedding - boo! :meh: Obviously, much love for the happy couple, but svcky timing.

IF I get it first day (shipment date said it would arrive by the 29th..BS) I'm not going to play it until my off day. I work Tuesday and Wednesday so I'll just wait until Thursday to play it.

I'll look at all the stuff in the collectors edition but probably not open it right away.
play for about 8 hours creating new characters and going through the opening of the game about 900 times trying to decide what type of character to build and wanting to play all types all at once.
Take a break.. dig through the collectors edition stuff.
Finally decide on a character but am now tired so I'll take a nap.
Wake up and actually start the game with the character I want.

meh pretty much the same as mine, if theres a mid night launch, then monday ill buy pizza rolls and such, then ill play some fallout 3. then ill leave at about 11:30. get the game, drive home, pop in the game, instill to hard drive, in that time that the game is installing i will cook my pizza rolls, when they finish i will go to my room, snuggle into my handmade custom awesome elite amazing jesus-would-cry-if-he-saw-it gaming chair, then ill play till i have to be rushed to the hospital because of dehydration/starvation/primordial goulification/broken thumbs.
