A I the only who enjoys playing a vampire?

It is easy to be a vampire during day, you need two perk:

- Recovery so you can regen your mana in daylight anyway
- Respite so the mana you regen can be used for life and stamina recovery during daylight

Now you can even fight two dragon at same time in broad daylight.

Can't believe I missed those two!
Here's an updated build, then: http://skyrimcalculator.com/#60480

Also, would dual casting increase stamina gained as well? If so, there's another perk I might want to drop a point into.

Yes, dual casting increase stamina as well. You gain as much stamina as you gain health.

Btw, you still get perk after level 50.

Dual casting is HORRIBLE for healing spells, it increases the magicka cost 2.8 times for 2.2 times the effectiveness. You are better off just casting the spell twice for less magicka.

I see that you have enchanting and the necromage perk. With only 4 points in conjuration, (novice conjuration, necromancy, dark souls, and twin souls) you can get two permanent dead thralls. If you don't have a lot of magicka, you can make a set of clothes with reduced cost conjuration that you can carry with you that weigh as little as 4 pounds to raise your thralls. Since you have necromage, it allows you to thrall Volkihar vampires, which are the highest level thralls you can get, its also pretty nice to have your own little vampire group. >:3

I love playing as a vampire and all the downsides to fighting during the day can be completely offset if you know what you are doing. If you bring a follower with you, you can feed whenever you are near a bed by ordering your follower to sleep.

With some points into conjuration, I could have a gang of Vamps. I could then recreate a Skyrim based West Side Story, assuming Aela would go for it! "The vamps... The Wolfs..." *hums to self*...

You could also marry Aela, and procreate an abomination and recreate the movie Underworld.

I find too many people made assumptions about what vampires should be in game instead of enjoying what they are. I'm glad you're enjoying it the way it is. :)

I just miss the good ol' days of vampire acrobatics in Morrowind. While a bit silly, it was highly entertaining!

To overcome the regen problems during daylight you could always make regenerate potions or take the Lady Stone.

The Vampire's appearance was cool and i know how to get the best out of these bad excuses of vampires, one has to stop playing like a mortal, you to sleep during the day and do quests at night. The necromage perk is good but it doesn't make up for a lack of bonuses in physical skill such as weapons and sprint speed.

I tried Vampirism from a day in Morrowind, and hated it. And for a day in Oblivion, and hated it. There was too much negative and not enough positive, in my opinion. Both games, it seems like they tried too hard to make sure it wasn't too powerful. And just wasn't fun, as a result.

But then TES isn't supposed to be "Vampire: The Masquerade" or "Bloodlines". Those were great vampire RPGs. I kind of want to play them now, but my wife got those, and half of my comic books in the divorce.

Sidenote: don't marry the first chick you meet that likes comic books and plays computer games. Even if she's hot. Or maybe especially if she's hot. But I can report, hot chicks that like anime, comic books, computer and table-top role playing games, DO exist. For whatever it's worth.

As I've stated in a thread with the title near identical to this.

Glad you enjoy the carbon copy Vamps from Oblivion, I think you'd flip had you been able to play near true to Lore Vamps, and witness ACTUAL Volikhars instead of highlevel vamps being renamed Volikhars ;p.

I don't, and won't.

I just hate that the vampires have the same traits as the Cyrodiilic ones, yet they aren't as political as they are suppose to be. And we can't join any clans!

But I love their apperance. Is it just me, or do the vampires have the same eyes as the Sith?

I find that so awesome because my vampire characters are based off the Sith(Manipulative and deceptive jerks hiding in society).

As much as I'd like to go forward with my "Nord-Viking-Vampire" RP idea I just can't bring myself to go vamp. After the CK comes out and people release a few decent Vamp mods however, it'll be party time.

Vampires have always svcked in TES, this does not appear subject to change.

Unintentional pun, 5 internets for me.

oblivion made you a demigod but made waiting a risk, skyrim gives you minor powers but limits constant combat effectiveness harshly (regens and health loss) it was a let down for me, it only good for RPing and illusionists. Also wished linchs were in, need to talk to m'iaq about that... (all the ingedents are in skyrim (kinda, might have to import a linch heart from the south))

Did I spell linchs right or is it lich?

Keep your vampire and werewolf herpes away from me, sir. I'm clean! I make a habbit of hunting down and exterminating both entities, most of the time. Maybe it's about time I give being a vampire a shot, though .. That's assuming I can't be a werecrab.

^ For anyone who doesn't know how vastly superior vampires are to werewolves when you have a certain restoration perk. Pretty much every single build can benefit from being a vamp, even a non sneaky non illusion character. The drawbacks are very easy to manage, it's no hassle for me.

Just wait until you see vampire and werewolf finishing moves I have planned, and lore inspired Volkihar vampires instead of a necromancer named "Volkihar vampire"
That's very good news.

I walked into a vampire den as a stage 4 vampire. A vampire thrall took one look at me, shouted "Vampire!" in a panicked voice and attacked me with an iron Battleaxe. Then I walked into another den and a vampire told me "there's no place for your kind here" and attacked me with ice spells, then tried to drain my life. This kind of shattered my sense of immersion so I got cured and haven't bothered with vampirism since that time.

it is indeed a let down, bethesda should have put more thought into it that recycled the oblivion vampires, even their so called "advantages" are kind of weak, i find it ok to manage the weaknesses but the lack of physical bonuses make being a vampire a drag.
the fact vampires still treat you like a mortal is a major let down as well.

My new Vampire Lestat has been dead and loving it since yesterday! Still pretty low level, but i'm having a lot of fun sneaking around and feasting at night. The only problem I have so far is that my Breton now looks like he put on too much self tan. He still looks cool, though, kind of like a Sith or something.
