The Bug List! v.3

I also have the "archmage training" bug. Everything I try to buy training in says I have already trained 5 times at this level and need to level up.
Well , have you actually leveled up to see if you can train again ? You are only allowed a total of 5 training sessions per level , of any combination of skills , not 5 of each skill .

I experienced this same issue traveling from Riften to the Standing Stone. I also can't absorb a shout, very frustrating.

I just killed the dragon that was formerly perched atop the word wall at Lost Tongue Overlook, and now I'm unable to absorb the shout. The animation begins however it never successfully delivers the shout. In addition, when trying to initiate the Trinity Restored quest of the Thieves Guild quest series Karliah greets me at the Standing Stone with, "I'm glad you're here." and then the game freezes and I'm left with no other option than to restart the game. I've restarted from several other save points and receive the same results.

I tried to move the game along by initiating the Elder Knowledge Main Quest Act 2 that I was completing synchronously and I've reached another stopping point. I'm unable to receive the Effects of the Elder Scrolls and Ruminations on the Elder Scrolls from Urag gro-Shub in the Arcanaeum. He walks over to the book case, then to his desk and say's here you go, but they are never added to my inventory. I really would like to resolve these issues without having to start from the beginning. Has anyone experienced any of these issues?

the books do not go into your inventory he lays them on the counter

Mission: Alduin's Bane
Problem: After using it the Elder Scroll is permanently stuck in your inventory.
Solution: None.
You can sell it to the libarian at the Mages Collage.

Follower (lydia) missing after random dragon raid on whiterun, she IS NOT where i told her to wait nor anywhere else in the town, and i cant gain a new follower cause i still have one. and i know its not a bug but shop keepers with no replacement should be on the vital NPC list and respawn if killed

a few minor bugs(not sure if their already posted, theres a lot to read)

i married ysolda from whiterun
some time later i began the "a night to remember" quest
Spoiler
during this quest im asked to go speak to ysolda in whiterun, she's no longer in whiterun but rather my house in windhelm.
so i travel home to speak to my WIFE, whom sends me on a quest to get back the ring she gave me to propose to my 1 true love, i even told her the romantic tale of how we met
either this is a bug or she's a very loving wife open to a little bigamy

I have a REALLY annoying display glitch... On ps3 after about 20 minutes of play, my game will flicker to black for about a second or two, sounds will continue, and then the image will return. And it will happen every 5 minutes or so afterwards. No lag or FPS drops though.

See the link for more info.

Bugs I have noticed:

During Glory of the Dead, if you speak with Aela during Kodlak's funeral it can break the quest. I spoke with her and she game me a radiant quest and she went back to Jorvaskar without completing the funeral. The funeral goes on and on for days and nevers ends. (reloaed save to avoid)

Marrying Aela makes the Totems of Hircine quests unavailable (don't marry Aela apparently)

After "Purity" is completed for Farkas and Vilkas you can cure yourself of being a werewolf. However, doing so doesn't reinstate the well restested or rested bonus? Not sure how to fix this. Tried reloading and curing myself multiple times, and still can't get the rested bonuses.

During a Night to Remember, if you Persuade Ysolda, then visit Witchmist Grove the Dialogue with the Hagraven doesn't start. Although, you can attack her and take the wedding ring, when you return to Ysolda, there is no dialogue for her to take it?

The Standing Stones trophy unlocks without visiting all 13 stones. If you fast travel to ones you have already visited, they apparenlty count more than once towards the 13 total, so fast traveling between 2 of them a few times unlocks this.

Another odd bug I had was that Skjor showed up in Jorvaskar after Glory of the Dead (when he is dead) He even offered me Tier 1 quests and referred to me as whelp. I reloaded a prior save and he was gone.

Had a couple funny ones that have made the experience pretty much laughable-

Both occurred in Whiterun.

The captain of the guard, whom you cannot kill, actually fell down as though dead. His "corspe" slid around the sidewalk and followed me wherever I went in town, shouting insults and threatening me. It kept bobbing back and forth like he was attacking, but I did not take any damage.

And I had a regular Whiterun guard die as a result of Storm Call who kept upright, standing in a fighting stance. I was able to loot his body and basically strip him down to his boxers, but he kept standing there like he wanted to fight. When I left the area and came back, his was laying there dead like he should have been.

At this point, I'm just finding this stuff amusing. I'm done being mad about it. They can leave the snitch chickens in for all I care.

I am having a problem with the quest "Hitting The Books." For one -- and I'm not sure if this is related to my eventual problems at the end -- but I noticed that after I freed Orthorn, after the first "big" battle with several fire mages, he was no longer present. I have no idea what happened to him. I didn't see his corpse anywhere, either. I thought it was nothing important, and still had my faithful housecarl Lydia with me, so I pressed on.

After conducting a dialog with the Caller -- and there was no "persuade" option in my dialog menu at all (perhaps because Orthorn was not with me), the battle commenced. I killed The Caller and her minions, and then began to hunt around for the books. I found one on a pedestal, and one on the ground -- but the third was not there. I looked up the title I was missing, and it's called "Night Of Tears" or something. I seriously looked everywhere. Broke out the torch, the magelight staff, you name it. Not there. So, I had saved just prior to entering the area where the Caller was, so I reloaded and tried again. This time, I found two books on pedestals, and still, the third book -- the same one -- was nowhere to be found.

I have a feeling that this glitch is tied somehow to Orthorn not being with me. Can anyone offer any help here? If I have to restore a prior save, I'm gonna have to do some serious backtracking (and go through the quest all over again from the beginning).

I recently ran into a really annoying bug. When visiting Blackreach for the first time during the mainquest I cannot enter the Tower of Mzark. There seems to be a hidden door, and the opening/closing door dialogue appears (press "x"). But I can press what I want, I cannot enter. I'm using the newest Patch 1.4, newest PS3 Firmware, reloaded a savegame before entering Blackreach but the issue appears everytime. Additionaly sometimes the whole tower does not appear, but using a lift to get up to the regular surface and going down again helps. Anyway I cannot proceed with the mainquest, googled a loot about this and didn't find any answer yet. Anyone has the problem again?

Ok you guys need to make Ugor immortal like the Jarls or other important quest characters, because she IS an important quest character. Aside from making your way over the wall of Largashbur via the hills behind it, the quest "The Cursed Tribe" can't be started if she is killed by the giant attacking the stronghold.

Another odd bug...my follower, Lydia, went into seemingly neverending "near death" mode, where she was crawling along the floor/ground, extremely slowly. Holding a torch for me still, though. But it became so annoying, we just had to "part ways." She was still crawling along and wishing me well as I ran by her later. I stopped in Whiterun at the Jarl's to see if she was back, but she wasn't there. So, I guess ol' Lydia will have to crawl her way back to Whiterun from quite a ways away. At the very least, I was able to get another follower, but I realized later that Lyd had a ton of my equipment, and some good stuff I gave her just to carry for me. Oh well. If I lost it, I lost it, I suppose.

Just a follow-up to this:

I successfully completed this part of the quest, finally. I just ran toward The Caller and the “missing” book was on the Caller’s pedestal — right in the center of the room. It wasn’t there before, so it may have become locked in the body of the corpse or something before, or blown into another object and become either irretrievable or extremely difficult to locate. But the book titled “Night of Tears” is the one on the center pedestal, right where The Caller is standing when you enter the room. I just ran up and took some damage and grabbed this one right away. Then, I found the other two easily enough -- one was on a pedestal, one was on the ground right next to the other pedestal.

For anyone else experiencing this problem, I think I have a fix -- my problem was that I could not locate Lydia, anywhere. However, when I got married, she was in the temple in the audience, and with all of my possessions. So I re-hired her, hoping that the "endless crawl" glitch won't resurface.

Here are some bugs I am experiencing.

- find the copy of Fragment: On Artaeum: I found the copy of the book prior to the quest. I can't give the book to Urag Gro-Shub.

- During the companions quest, I inadvertently killed/ let Vilkas die. I can't continue with any other side quests.

- Kill the dragon in Eldersblood Peak: Esbern sent me to kill a dragon. My 3 blade recruits show up. When I get there, the dragon is not there, and never shows up. An arrow appears above the ground where it should be.

- Reunification of Skyrim: I finished part 1, Report to General Tullius. I procured the storm cloak documents. Now I can't continue with retake the pale.

- The battle for fort dunstad: Join the men attackin Fort Dunstad: met the Imperial soldiers near the fort. The never attacked. After 5 minutes of waiting, I went on to look for other opportunities. I went back later, the soldiers were gone and the fort deserted. The quest guide states I failed the quest and I can't progress to take over the fort by defeating the enemy (100%).

- Kill the leader of Uttering Hills Camp. This was my second quest to the camp. The leader is nowhere to be found.

- Investigate the Bards College. I met a character in Markarth who told me to investigate the college, after I already joined the college. I can't interact with the bards other than basic dialog.

-treasure map 2: chest is missing.

Ralof/Havdar do not lead you to the Blessing Stones on the mission "Before The Storm" when you are heading to Winterhold.
They take a complete different route instead.

I have a few glitches which plague my copy of Skyrim:

1. I am PERMANENTLY INVISIBLE! No kidding! It happened when I was at the College of Winterhold, and the one mage tried experimenting with me. She turned me green and then changed me into a horse or something, and then when she changed me back to normal, I have been invisible ever since. Half the time I'm running around and don't know whether or not my weapon is drawn, and I've learned to rely on my follower to determine that.

2. I am on the verge of completing the Daedric Influence trophy, however I cannot complete the final mission necessary for this: The Whispering Door. I purchased the Prima Games walk-through for Skyrim, and it mentions that this can still be accomplished after you have sided with the Storm-Cloaks and have chased Jarl Balgruuf out of Whiterun, but when I try to talk to his bratty son Nelkir, it does not start the mission. I've even tried pick-pocketing Farenger Secret-Fire, only he does not have the key in his inventory.

3. Forsworn Conspiracy mission is also stuck to where I cannot complete it. Whenever I go to the Talos Shrine, the guy I am supposed to meet has been killed off by the Imperial guards.

I've already played over 200+ hours on the game, and the Daedric Influence trophy is the only thing preventing me from achieving my first (ever) Platinum trophy on the PS3. As awesome and as EPIC as Skyrim is of a game, I figured I would want such a privlege to go towards such a worthy title, but that just may have to wait until another time, I see...

It's threads like these, or the list on UESP of HUNDREDS of other known bugs and glitches, that make me really wonder why we are all still even trying to play this game at all. lol...

Edit: Think about it. There comes a point where Bethesda sees all these bug reports on UESP, the wiki, or on these forums, and they have to come to the conclusion that: There is no way we can fix hundreds of bugs, let's prioritize and pick out about 5% of the big ones, and try to fix them in the remaining patch(es). The fact is they will be leaving us with hundreds of bugs that will never be fixed, as usual. I have lost all my faith in them. And I still can't get over how they lied to us and "tricked" us into falling for this crap again.

i gave up on it ages ago not played it for some time now been playing fallout instead,i just bob into hear every now and then to see how its going if it gets better when it comes to overall frame rate, while bobing into the fallout forum so to avoid any bad bugs that may have been left in it.

its been a horrid experience for me and i was a new customer really to bethesda before skyrim i only owned oblivion and it wasn't even the GOTY edition it was the original one and it worked fine and iv only had it about 2 years (i did recently swap up for the 5th anniversary one as i wanted shivering isles and its no longer on the PS store hear) fallout 3 and fallout NV were games i bought really cheap after getting skyrim i do like bethesda games, but ill never buy em new and on release again ill just wait just like with oblivion and the fallouts
i picked up fallout New Vegas yesterday for 4 quid so gonna try playing that today
