It's a good thing we still have the wide range of voices on the internet that we do, huh? For now, that is. How much longer until that's wrestled away from people, too?

So?

Does it really matter all that much?

It's just basic capitalism, calm down man.

Did you read through the infographic? If so, how do you fail to see the problem?

The only problem comes with newspapers and news shows on TV. Newspaper's can drastically effect people's political opinion by only giving one side of an argument, not reporting on certain stories etc. If one person owns 3 or 4 large newspapers, then he is going to have an effect on the way a large number of people are going to vote. This is way the only problem with having just six large corporations. Having those corporations owning all of the sweet and clothes manufacturers doesn't bother me a bit.

There's no such thing as unregulated capitalism, just people who are good at convincing you that some regulations don't count.

This is the state of many things. Just look up how many companies own ALL of the food in grocery stores, or seed patents and Monsato.

That said, it doesn't affect me. I gather my media exclusively from the internet, where I deicde when, where, and what I see, hear, and read. I don't care what other people consume. That's their problem.

I don't even have cable, Was worried bout those Alien Conspiracy rays producing radiation in my nasal passage. I got sick of wearing tin foil nose plugs.

So what? I can't even remember the last time I watched TV for a show other than Family Guy. As for newspapers and radio? Please, they're remnants of a dying breed (with the internet becoming increasingly popular TV may be too). And I'm not even American.

Yep, cause having everything controlled by a single political party is so much better innit?

I don't follow the media anymore. The BBC is the worst culprit of 'impartial' reporting, asking the difficult questions so you don't have to, but oughtn't you be thinking this is the right thing? Right? Wink wink, nod nod, nudge nudge. :yuck:

Since when did democracy and capatilism become synonymous? It's like confusing the word freedom and capatilism. There are other alternatives :twirl:

It's become very fashionable to imply that they're the same thing, though. Even when they're anything but.
