thoughts on Fallout: Equestria

It could be a good read and I might even do so one day, but I feel fully obligated as a fan of Fallout's 1, 2, 3 and New Vegas to yell ABOMINATION!!!!! while pointing my finger at that horrible word that a brony has put after the name of a great franchise.

I have one question. why is this brony meme so big? Seriously I don't get it.
Just visit the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1364628-my-little-pony-threadship-is-magic/and read it.

And I think this topic will get locked, since every additional pony thread got locked (and most people including me here have never read it).

I honestly don't understand the obsession with ponies.
Same, but I've seen some of the shows and couldn't take them serious, I thought it was just 20 minute comedy shows one after the other.

Seems like it could be interesting, won't read it though for 2 reasons; I don't like reading and even if I did I don't have the time

One thing I must say. Other fandoms do crossovers. Why should My Little Pony be an exception? If some of you read the post I made you know, two below to OP you might have a better understanding of what it is. This is a classic case of "Don't judge a book by it's cover."

It's easier to ignore stuff people say than it is to change their views, just ignore it if you don't like their judgemental attitude

Yeah, but it's normally stuff like Xena and Hercules or Star Trek and Star Wars.

Fandoms crossing over is usually because there are two bad ass characters nerds (such as myself) fantasise about meeting, two evil Empires clashing or two titans of a genre coming together. Not a show designed for children and a game with exploding limbs and drug use.

This is like Call of Duty meets Sesame Street, (although in that case the childrens show brings the maturity :P).

Interesting.

And yet people laugh at us when a few select Bronies make a story? While I agree it's different than most crossovers, not everything has to be predictable.

We know why people "hate" us, they laugh at the idea of enjoying a show they either don't understand, or legitimately dislike. We have no problem with that. Also, what is wrong with Furries? Not everything Furries do involves things that are NSFW, it's quite an ignorant statement that I'm sure you are referring to (Correct me if I'm wrong). By the way Ratslayer, in case you haven't noticed, there have been Furry threads on here, all of them locked. All of them containing judgment.

I do this in the hope of people actually not shutting themselves off after a preconceived image pops in their head. I know I will not likely get people to change their minds, but it's worth it to try.

Agreed, but there is a point where it gets stupid. Like that Japanese Tekken style game with Freddi Kruger and Yoda. There is a point where the two source materials are so different that combining them is a BAD idea. I haven't read this cross over and have no intention to, because let's face it, I highly doubt the author needed to use Fallout to write about ponies in a post apocolyptic wasteland, they could have come up with thier own lore (or just renamed the mutants to metents or something) I don't see anything other than a gimmick to entice me to read it.

This. I literally can't go anywhere on the internet without running into them, and it's really [censored] annoying. It's a [censored] children's cartoon, people. That is all it is. Nothing more, nothing less. It is not the greatest thing to ever happen to television or the internet, it is not the second coming of Avatar or the rebirth of the classic Nick shows, it is a children's cartoon (the kind you find on Nick or Disney [censored] Jr.) about ponies that just happens to have good VAs, and it will (hopefully) die out within the next year or so like the fad that it is.

And yes, before I get that "Give it a chance" [censored], I have watched it. I watched the entire first season of it back when I was dumb enough to call myself a "brony". But you know what, after nearly an entire year of being subjected to the average stupidity of the fanbase, I slowly began to realize that not only was this whole [censored] thing just some meme bandwagon everyone was jumping on, but that the show, praised for its "amazing writing and characters", is nothing even remotely as magnificent as the fanbase had convinced me that it was. The only reason I harbored any false love for that show was because I had finally found something childish that I could like without being ridiculed for it. Well [censored] that. I'm not sacrificing my dignity just to feel like I fit in. The show is overrated and the fans are most likely exactly how I was, minus the epiphany.

People laugh becuase its grown men obsessing over a show aimed at 5 year old girls.

Nope. Its becuase you cant keep your pony crap to equestria daily, or one of the many sites dedicated to mlp. Its EVERYWHERE. Some people didnt like MLP to begin with, now imagine how much they hate it, and its fans when it is brought up everywhere. In completely unrelated threads there is MLP. Its like godwins law, only I dont see pages of people discussing Hitler and the nazis in an unrealted thread. I have however seen bronies derail threads and turn them into pages of mlp [censored].

Yes the furry threads got locked, cant say I care about that. But I hate furries less, becuase im not constantly exposed to their [censored].

I have nothing against people who watch the show, but I have no doubt that Penguins of Madagascar is superior, as it actually has advlt jokes in it.

There was one Furry thread last week or so that lasted long, I think it's still open or reached the post limit without too much bad stuff being said.

Unless you have a cattle prod, or some form of treat that will persuade them, it's best just to put it in their face for comical rage - being neutral to almost anything I would find this the most comical

Oscar would definently be a camper.
He'd be in the corner with Ghost/Ninja/Assassin (all the invisible perks) and the AA-12 from MW2 just waiting to pop out and blast away.

Cookie Monster would be a fierce foe, the juggernaut for sure. "They have wha? CoooooKIEESSS!!"

You know, this would be a better game than CoD, because PWNZALOARDUDE getting shot off your team when he's a commando in cammo is a meh moment, but when he's Elmo

Cue the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtrQK8Zqj-g, cue the tears and cue that heroic tearjerking final assault just as the guitar solo kicks in as you scream "FOR ELMOOOOO"
this is funny, because it's not true

Having seen both extensively, I can say with utmost certainty that Penguins is indeed better. Even better still, it doesn't come with that annoying omnipresent fanbase.

I hear that iceburgs weren't too good for the Titanic.

I've watched enough of MLP to conclude that I do not find it enjoyable, (about three episodes).
