Transformation for thieves idea.

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:32 am

I just thought a transformation for thieves would make sense.

Werewolves are for Warriors
Vampire Lords are for Mages
________? are for Thieves

I know the transformations aren't limited to the aforementioned archetypes, but they obviously gravitate towards them.

I was thinking a transformation capable of sneaking would be great for thieves.
And seeing how Dawnguard caters to Warrior in the Dawnguard Faction and Mages in the Vampire Faction, but thieves are kind of left out. Thsi could be part of a DLC*.

A transformation given by Nocturnal would make sense, as Molag Bol and Hircine created the Vampire and Werewolf transformations respectively.

My idea would be some kind of Grim Reaper type character that travels through shadows and can kill even within groups of people without getting spotted with some type of shadow assassination.

Any other ideas?

The Vanilla Vampire is best suited towards thieves.

nah i don't really like teh transformations, they seem sorta akward to control, plus who actually like 3rd person view? And stealth characters are already close to being uber, they don't really need the transformations.

Dude you have to be a thief for some of the dawnguard quests. like stealing orders from the vampires pretending to be advisors or trying to persuade a vampire to follow you using speech.

Vampires are naturally suited for stealth characters. Even the bonuses from vampires help one to be a better thief. Simply because you can cast spells while in VL form, doesn't mean it's only for mages.

I've never been one for trasnformations, in fact I was really upset with the whole Vampire theme for Dawnguard. But, I think that if a theif could turn into a dog (not a werewolf, just a normal dog) that it would be really fun. That way you could get into buildings or towns undetected. I picture it as beig smaller than the other dogs you see around Skyrim and being balck with shaggy fur. Maybe not transform, but be able to turn into a warg so you could control a dog.

Honestly, I think that transforming into anything would completely destroy the whole "stealth" aspect. And, as someone already mentioned, stealth characters are almost OP as it is, with the proper gear and poisons, a stealth character can one shot almost anything in the game, dragons excluded. Although I've two shot dragons before, so I suppose it is possible.

Stealth characters already have something. Its called being a vampire, vampires have innate abilities that buff illusion and sneak and VL is not THAT magicka intensive and lets not forget there is certain items that boost your mp and its regen.

yeah werewolves are to "glassy" to be a worrior. I'd rather sneak around with them and rip people apart with a Werebear.
