Unique weapon ideas

True, but you can't exactly control a Jackhammer with one hand, can you?

Dunno. Never fired one, and since there were (depending on what source you believe) at most 5 prototypes ever made it's unlikely I will.

Like you'd have a better chance of one-handing anything smaller firing 12 gauge shells? ;)

A battle rifle that look like the assault rifle from FO3 but fires .308 from a 20 round magazine.

So you mean a FN FAL? :D

YES :D but it must be automatic and way more accurate and than the assault carbine (that gun needs a recoil reducer mod)

My proposed weapon fires 20 gauge rounds. 20 gauge =/= 12 gauge. It's possible to fire a sawed off shotgun with one hand if it's chambered for 20 gauge...

Nice try though! Better luck next time! :whistling:

Mr. Sun: Solar-powered electromagnetic radiation magnifier (ie a weapon that magnifies solar light into a single, continuous beam)

Recharges during the daytime. Drains quickly and is less effective at night or indoors. Make it powerful during the day, something similar to Pew-Pew or even Alien Blaster. Critical hits lead to enemy disintegration.

I know the difference in the gauges quite well.

I was also talking about your average idiot- I've comfortably fired a sawed-off 12 gauge one-handed. So I'm an exceptional idiot, tyvm! :D

Just making sure! I proposed the idea of a 20 gauge shotgun because it's a unique design with the intention that it would handle more or less like a sawed-off shotgun.

Also, just for kicks one time I fired a 12 gauge full-sized shotgun one-handed before. That was quite the experience!

i want that too.

i also wish that there was more mob influence in this game.

i was disappointed that there were a very small amount of quests involving the Omertas

based on the FN 2000 assault rifle

(insert name of you choice here)

- high rate of fire, little spread, but low damage
- 2 handed
- 30 5.56 rounds per clip
- 8 pounds (could be less)

mods
- silencer
- extended mags
- flashlight (could be toggled on and off, would be useful for dark hallways and such)

 is'nt this the recharger rifle?
Or
Spoiler
Archemedis II?

Ehh...kind of. The Recharger rifle doesn't do a ton of damage. I was thinking either a continuous beam of light, or a very damaging, but shorter duration beam of light (like a 2 second burst).

But the power of Archemedis II and the the C-finder is correct, but without the 24-hr wait period (if you don't exploit any glitches, anyway). And instead of beams of light from the sky, it would be a beam of light from the gun itself.

It doesn't have to be SUPER powerful, but make it a pretty damaging unique weapon.

IR Strobe Beacon

Works in conjunction with the Mini-LGM Launcher by marking the location the player wants to hit. It's as simple as laying the beacon down on the intended area and then firing the Mini-LGM Launcher.

Mini-LGM (Laser Guided Missile) Launcher

1, Missile magazine
Targeting Scope
Breech Loading
High DAM/ Low DPS
Two Hand

When fired, the missile launches into the air and strikes the point marked with the IR Strobe Beacon.

Reservist's Carbine (based on the M1/M2 Carbine)
Gun (Rifle)
Caliber : 10mm (to avoid another ammo caliber)
DAM: 25
STR: 3
Skill requirement: 25
Magazine Capacity: 15 (without mod)
Aperature sight
Minimum Spread: .1
x1% critical chance
Semi-automatic, ROF: 1(without mod)

Mods:
Expanded Magazine (raises mag capacity +15 to 30)
Full Auto Fire Control Group (converts weapon to full automatic fire with ROF of 6 but increases min. spread by 1.9)
Muzzle brake (halves min. spread---making it useful whether modded for full auto or not)

This is reasonably close to a M1 Carbine...or the later M2 carbine...though it's ability to use any type of 10mm ammo should make it considerably more effective as the Achilles Heel of the M1 was it's ammo, specifically the tiny 110gr projective of .30 Carbine. With the mods it would make a rather nasty SMG, even if it is two handed.
