Disappointed in Torres but not surprised to be honest, Del Bosque is a loyal man so he plays him anyway, but LLorente must be wondering when his turn will come, Torres might have a goal or two left in him for this tournament, i hope he can make them count if and when they do come.
I must admit I was surprised that Llorente didn't start given the fantastic season he's had. I had him down to be one of the leading performers/scorers of the tournament but hey-ho. Ineista never ceases to amaze me. Didn't think Spain were too bad in actual fact, not as bad as they usually are, didn't see any penalty shouts against Balotelli either, but I was glad to see him leave the pitch quite early, waste of time and space if you ask me. Busquets has quite a reputation, and I don't like the guy, but he wasn't as bad today as he normally is for Barcelona, so I'll give him some credit; he didn't do much to help Spain though.
Ireland vs Croatia was a great game. Jelavic scored again, showing that he can do on an international level what he's done since January at Everton and his strike partner wasn't half bad either. Modric looked great but I can't help but feel they should have done better to put more past what was an unorganised although spirited Ireland side.
