Lets make this easy guys. Lets compile a grand list and help each-other out ok? I want this to be seen so we dont have 30+ threads asking about individual people. Ill update as i get more info.

Eola from Markarth 'Taste of Death' quest can be a Steward to though!

Erandur would not work either, had had him walking around the prospective new home for ages and no dialogue came up, I left him in the basemant to keep an eye on things anyway. Sick of the skeever infestation.

Very disappointing to hear this, he is one of the best level 50 followers.

Well I will try and keep him there, just return every so often move him a bit then ask him to wait again. Determined I am to have as many guarding that house as possible before adopting anyone. Unfortunately I will have to dismiss him to get the stewards for the houses, but I will put him back in the basemant afterwards.

I've heard that Ingjard from Fort Dawnguard (and possibly the rest of the followers there) can become a steward. Can anybody who has completed Dawnguard and/or made enough progress to get her and the rest of them as a follower confirm or deny?

Really? I keep having problems with him. The steward offering comes up in the dialogue but still only acts like a hireling even after the fact.

I believe if they are in follow mode, they can't do steward duties. You must tell them to leave, and then you can tell them to do steward stuff.

You can always tell them to follow you again.
