They'd likely disappear at best, or appear as invalid parts.

I'd assume if you already have them ingame then they'd still be there but would likely bug out if you tried using them.
Normal or powered rails might just act like default ones since they're the same output.
Otherwise they'd likely just vanish.

But can we even make Railcraft powered rails now, is the whole mod useless now?

At least for the vanilla items it is, try making some of the parts and if they work you'll have your answer - though I doubt they will.
Turns out in my haste I wrote the wrong output of vanilla rails (6 is correct not 16) but got the Railcraft ones correct.
Besides my mistake the output of Vanilla still beats the output of Railcraft in terms of what I'm putting in.

Yes, but then all of the actually interesting features of Railcraft get removed. Like the speed rails and things like that.

Yes that's one possible downside....Are you on just now?
- I was gonna say, someone try making parts for the Railcraft mod - just put the recipe in but don't create - and if said item appears then the mod is still active.
Because from the change I suggested, I'd assume only the Vanilla recipes are back and the completely new Railcraft stuff remains.

- Put it this way if that oil making thing is still in your complex then the mod is still active and the tweak did what I assumed.

Actually the mod is still active and oly the vanilla recipes are back - Proof is, I still have my TNT cart that is part of Railcraft enabled. All is well

-- Just be sure not to use default rails when making a railway involving mod parts as the default ones will "pop" off apparently

He speculated that one of Minecraft's strongest suits is its lack of proper tutorials or official instructions in-game, as it always encouraged players to interact with each-other to exchange crafting tips and secrets. He was especially thrilled at how players became dependent on one another for the information, and it developed a culture of its own - a culture of crafting. Of course, despite all the unearthed crafting secrets, apparently one still remains; regarding a secret recipe, he said "there is one [recipe] people haven't found yet."

From there, he was curiously silent about what it could be. Can you discover it?

How much truth is there in a "secret block recipe" or is he just trolling, again?

- Also Bethesda lost the lawsuit with Mojang over the use of the word 'Scrolls'. So the game being developed by Mojang will be called Scrolls as planned, how Bethesda thought TES could be confused by it is absurd, since anyone referring to TES calls it TES or the location name i.e Skyrim or Morrowind :P

One would imagine we could just look through the game's code for that.

Maybe has is trolling. People look through the game's code all the time. How do you think they found out about the silverfish before anybody knew what it was? But I honestly wouldn't be that surprised if there actually was a secret recipe in there that nobody has found. But if there is the question becomes "Just how long was it in the game?"

That's true.
Damn Notch and his trolling/lolz attitude.

Aren't we supposed to be getting something to do with them and hatching them to fly Red dragons? I'm sure this was promised...
  • One of the game's http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Splash (as of http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_1.0) states "Kind of dragon free!", joking at the original text of the http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Beta and http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Alpha versions of Minecraft which read, "Absolutely Dragon free!"
  • As http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Notch stated, he might add dragon lairs. It is possible that these would spawn in http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Stronghold or inside http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Generated_structures#Cliffs.2FExtreme_Hills.2FMountains. It could be possible that the http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/The_End is the http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Ender_dragon's somewhat lair.
  • Red dragon will be, and so quote "Less dangerous."

One of the easter eggs I never noticed until now is the title logo. There is a 1 in 10,000 chance that it will read "MINCERAFT".

Hmm, so it appears that there is anhttp://www.minecraftwiki.net/images/c/c1/Watercolor.png in the game that would effect water colors for different biomes and temperatures and rainfalls.

Too bad it isn't used. I see tropics-style water colors in there.

they did not loose, it was a settlement. since mojang has no interest in owning the copy right to the name but rather just use the name. this is what the publishing arm of bethesda was initially against but i think at this point they realized that it was a dumb fight and they had done enough to protect their copy rights from other potential entities trying to infringe.

Great. I've just set myself back at least two days thanks to a TNT fuse that I set off too early. >_>

I don't know much about it but I knew (thought) Bethesda didn't want Mojang using it because it would confuse the two games (Scrolls and Elder Scrolls). But yeah it's a completely dumb fight

I'm getting an exception when trying to join the default map. It's not wanting to take tesfan.mchost.org as the server address.

Needs to have the port at the end, tesfan.mchost.org:25565. Also the server is running on 1.1, just so you know.

25565 is the Tekkit server. The default server is simply tesfan.mchost.org.

25565 is Spout. 25566 is Tekkit.

25565 is the default port for Minecraft servers, so you can leave it out if the server is not using a specific port.

fyi
Built something based on it in singleplayer. It's noice.

Except... Mine's better. It's a tad longer, and I discarded the lava spike in favor of a fall trap. Two main reasons - first, because I like getting ze spider loot as well, and second, because I made it a dual-purpose loot collector and XP grinder, by almost killing mobs with the fall, then giving them a single hack to the shins to release their sweet, sweet experience orbs.

I'm rather fond of it. Now I need to enchant some schtuff.

Talking of hacking shins, has anyone else had problems hitting mob's legs from underneath them?
I seem to be unable to hit mobs if the are 1 block higher than me and up againist a wall

No but I noticed that zombies appear to be able to hurt you from 6 feet away. I watched one kill a skeleton without getting anywhere near it.

Creepers have that effect too, I call them Sniper-Creepers, they're on par with Para-Creepers in terms of annoyance.
Creepers have killed me from over 8 blocks away - it's all to do with lag, whether on the server side or client. Damn annoying equally.
