I had a similiar thing on one SP map, except it was shorter, not that high up, and less awesome.

I built a grinder like that back on the City map. Since we decided to build Vivec close to where I lived, the rates went up as the Foreign Quarter got built.

I found a 1.1 jar, so I can log in to the server again now.

Yeah, I click the mirror, but it just spins forever in a 'loading' tab. I've never had this problem before, so I'm not sure if it's the site or what.

Mirror? Why do you need to use a mirror? It's hosted on the official site.

I have a question about MC accounts, I don't know if you guys can help or not.

My brother plays Minecraft on my PC using my account, but if he was going to play on the BGSF server I'd want him to have a seperate one or it will just get confusing.

If he makes a separate account, will he be able to login with the launcher on my PC, or will he need to buy it for his account before it will let him play using any PC?

Gah, seems the Tekkit launcher doesnt like me. Installing it and then trying to login results in instant disconnection and a message telling me I have a load of mods not installed.

Completely removing and re-installing the Launcher and files doesnt work, same problem.

Any ideas?

Nevermind, saw previous post. I'll try that fix.

On the main launcher page, before you log in there is an options button. In there should be an option to select a build manually. Select build 2.1.0. Select that build and you should be able to log in to the server.

I blame using a 12 year old OS with no choice.

If he purchases his own account it should be fine. You can log into your MC account from anywhere. The way it works is that the launcher (whether vanilla or otherwise), checks your account with minecraft.net to see if its a premium or not and then logs you into the server.

That shouldn't have much of an affect, just keep deleting the .TechnicLauncher folder from your [comptuerName]/AppData/Roaming section, and then relaunch the .exe
Thats how I've solved the problems before

That may work if his issue isn't that he can't download the launcher in the first place.

As far as I'm aware he has the launcher, or at least did?

His issue has been, as far as he as stated, that he hasn't been able to download it from the official site.

Can we host the launcher through teamspeak? Apparently you can share smaller files using it. I don't know whether this is the case.

Im not sure weather you could do that because teamspeak is hosted on a server, probably the same one minecraft is hosted on, you can upload files and download files through the teamspeak file browser, it would probably be slow aswell because i uploaded that intro video which is 3 seconds on there and that took 15mins

Upload speed of the server is 100mbit, but typical home connections are significantly slower than that. I can host the file one the server.

I suggest we find a way to remove Railcraft. It's a rob and makes it pointless to even bother using rails for anything

Default Power Rails (x16) = 6 Gold, 1 stick and 1 redstone
Railcraft Power Rails (x16) = 6 Gold Rail Parts*, 1 Stone rail-bed**, 2 Redstone***

*That's 3 iron and 3 gold for only 3 parts, so 6 gold and 6 iron for an actual rail
** This doesn't even show a recipe, but again is much dearer than 1 stick
*** That's one more than vanilla recipe

So that's 14+ things compared to Vanilla's 8 and both give the same output.
Railcraft svcks.

(Vanilla recipes no longer exist either now thanks to it  )
If you'd prefer to use the vanilla recipe scheme, just open the railcraft.cfg file and set the tag "tweaks.rails.useOldRecipes" to true.
