What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a creative sandbox game centered around exploration and survival; exploring and gathering resources allows you to protect yourself against a variety of beasties that hunt you down during the night. The creative sandbox elements of the game fuel your want to survive and gather, which in turn allow you to build many wonderful creations. Basic fluid physics also provide interesting means of creating basic machines.
The multiplayer is very similar to the single-player, just with more people and chat, TeamSpeak has also been implemented for both servers.

Donators who use the same email address with paypal as is registered with the forum will become 'supporters' as labled on the forums and in game, automatically. Those who don't want to use the same email can simply contact mrtankjump with the details of your transaction and I will make it happen.

Due to an increase in donations, we can consider upgrading memory for another $25 monthly. This would give us 16GB total, and each server would be running on a ramdisk. Bar any network issues, chunk loading should be instant when on ramdisk. Let me know what y'all think, as long as the money can be put up for it each month, and it is something the community wants, I'll make it happen.

Computer Tech? You mean Computer Craft? If so then that's not you, it's Tekkit. Computer Craft doesn't work in this version.

We had that at one point but it was really out of date and most of the people on said list didn't have BGSForum names, and now with the tesfan site registeration it's even harder/redundant to keep a list here.

Pocket Edition got an update, haven't seen anything for new PC snapshots/updates.

• New controller option – Split Touch Controls. This is option may be more suitable for those with bigger screens (hello tablets!). You got a cross hair and the right half of the screen lets you rotate the camera. Touch to place block, hold down to remove blocks. Just like you did before
  
• Flying is changed; ascend/descend by sliding from the center button to the up/down button
  
• Pigs are added to Survival Mode
  
• Bug fixes

Ive noticed you have to pay for pocket edition now, It use to be for free I dont see why you should have to pay if you have a minecraft account

I don't plan on buying it, it's for any lurkers that have it and might want to know, plus I was hoping it was PC updates as well but no luck

Can't say I've saw any mobs stop and spin anytime I've attacked - they have paused but thats just lag

Like the launcher itself or the files that it tries to download after you download the launcher? If it's the launcher did you try DLing from Tank's link?

Also, are you trying to run it as you download it? Save it somewhere first, then run it. It shouldn't matter where the launcher is located.

Nah, I got it working, might have been luck, or just remembering what I did last time, but I got the launcher to run and load properly. And yeah I did try, it didn't either. Again, crap computer, bad net, etc. So It's up now. I was on around midnight.

One nice thing about the new height limit is that it makes it possible to actually build Whitegold tower. One that isn't either a scale model or disturbingly short.

Oh, that looks like its a bug found or caused by that snapshot update - it's not present in older versions, and it's most likely going to be solved rather quickly.

Iron Golems will automatically spawn in http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/NPC_Village naturally, provided there are 16 advlt Villagers and at least 21 houses. It does not have to be a naturally generated village; as long as there are 16 advlt Villagers and 21 houses, an Iron Golem will spawn. The chance of spawning every tick is 1 in 7000.

What makes a "house" in Minecraft, if I wanted to start spawning Golems, would a 2x2x2 block with a door count as a house
