It's quite a pain for me as well. I have no idea what the problem is. I try to connect, get massive lag, and then a time-out error.

So is Technic 6 for 1.2? Couldn't find any info on that on the website.

Technic 6 is for 1.1, Tekkit 2.1 is for 1.1, and noone really gives a crap about Yogbox.

Technic 6.1.0 is a dev build for 1.2.3.

Wait, didn't someone mention making something (I think it was Balkons mod is the name right?) would cause permanent corruption of the map?

There is a chunk on the server where there is a HUGE ASS quarry and the chunk that it extends into won't load and getting anywhere near it (didacts saved location) will cause the server to crash.

We hypothesize that the quarry hit a mob spawner.

Right now we have 2 options:

Rollback to an earlier save (may be possible if hypothesis is correct)

OR

Regen the the chunks in the area.

Right now we aren't even sure whats causing it.

Why would hitting a mob spawner have any prevelance in the issue?

Edit: Why not just start a new map? This one has become a bit droll.

Because we'll probly just have to start a new map when tekkit update to 1.2 anyway.

Right now we're leaning on the mob spawner thing because as soon as WEing the area is tried we get spawner errors followed by WE errors. So a spawner IS involved in it somewhere.

Better question: Why is there even a chunk+ wide quarry to BEGIN with?

Its not as big as the chunk. My best guess is that its about 30x70+. The long side of it extends into the chunk that won't load.

But still, a quarry that big just isn't neccessary....

We had to rollback by about 2 days. Regen didn't work. I'm downloading into SP to see if I can replicate the error.

Had to roll back to 2 backups ago. We are still investigating the issue. Any info on upgrades you've done to your complex in the past 2 days Didact?

For some reason, the spout server went down as well as the CP. I can't restart as I don't have access to the remote viewer. Have to wait for tank.

Two days work undone would mean that all blocks mined in the last two days are back....Oh I'm going to have a field day
....
....
....
That means those spawners I found are open again....Oh I'm going to have a hellish day

Nothing but some EE condenser flowers. And now duly noted, I'm not doing that big a quarry again. Although I'll miss the big [censored]-off hole it makes.

(edit) And that chest you put the quarry and engines in? I had electrical engines powering the quarry but the engines in the chest were combustion engines.

Aww hell that means I've lost my flower thing I was making :verymad:

I'm just gonna make shovels and picks now and amass my skill levels, until next map
