My friend walle and I were talking about something completely different than skyrim, when all of a sudden one of our non-gaming friends said "I used to be an adventurer, but then I took an arrow to the knee". We both froze and turned around, he had a big grin on his face. That's when you know it's gone into the oh-so wide web

But see, it's usage is under the terms of slang. So it is arrow to the knee, just like it is boot to the head, not boot in the head. Just like it is h to the izzo, not h in the izzo, not that I care.

So it is a preference to improper language to underline and underscore the hype that it is an arrow to the knee just as it is a bullet to the head.

Why are we discussing this?

Maybe that arrow to the knee scrambled their brains (or they also took one to the eyes).

They do sometimes seem to get their insults/playful banter mixed up.
