Where is the Sunset Sarsaparilla Deputy Badge? Is this definately not quest related and just to be sold? Is this true for BoS Holotags too?

nope, not related to quests

the badges are worth nothing and you get them at the end of "Legend of the star" ( I know it leads to another quest to walk through the building to the prize chamber, but I think the second quest thing was just stupid)BoS holotags are useless as far as I know, Anti Materiel Rifle is a beast of a sniper with a high guns skill. That thing decimates anything and everything.

Empty Nuka-Cola Bottle
Empty Sunset Sarsaparilla Bottle

both useless, empty soda bottle is used in cactus water. (I think it's wierd they won't let you use any bottle for water>.>)

List looks good so far on junk items.

lol I appreciate the input but really I am looking for items that serve no other use than cap value and cannot be used in any way. Otherwise it's all down to opinion and we'd be here all day!

Actually, it is entirely worthless. It offers the defensive value of combat armor, but the weight of power armor. So unless you want to roleplay as a heavy trooper, it's a pile of junk.

well, if you can't find anything better then it's useful (So it's not junk, so it shouldn't be posted in this thread)

Sounds like it has a use then.

I am going to move this thread as it is Spoilerish.

lol yeah but it still has a use, something it can be used for. Therefore its not "Useless Junk", just because you think it isn't worth the weight. I know exactly what you mean, I don't disagree but I just want to build a list of things that are not at all used for anything in the game except selling on for caps.

Gatling Laser imo is pretty dan close to being useless, but there is almost nowhere that you can pick one up.

I think people are forgetting this is for "Items that have no use at all", all weapons and armor have a use (Killing things and being worn)

Yes, thank you lol, this is what I have been trying to explain.
Glad to get such a lot of good feedback though.
It is looking like this list must be pretty darn close to completion as there isn't a lot more coming forward... good stuff!

You have Intact Garden Gnome on your list, but not the Damaged Garden Gnomes. So far I have found 6 damaged gnomes and 4 intact gnomes. I have also found one Evil Gnome in the game. All useful for nerdish collecting (ahem), but for nothing else.

Oh I hadn't found a Damaged Garden Gnome in New Vegas, nor even heard of an evil one lol but will add both, many thanks.

Deputy Badges are really useless, and you can't use them in any of the quests.

Bent tin cans, tin cans, metal cooking pots and pans, coffee pots and dog bowls can be used in Contreras' quest, when giving scrap metal to the gun runners.

Yeah, the gnomes are planning their take-over of the Mojave after all of the other factions have killed each other off. Some of them are armed and some of them are, well, not so armed.

And speaking of lists of useless things, here's another useless list for you Emma, if you're listening. What about the nearly empty locations in FONV, like Searchlight Airport? (this is not really a criticism - I love this game). But can you imagine you are on the development team and you are given the assignment to create a huge expansive airport location and decide to fill it up with . . . nothing. No building to enter, no people, only two chests to open, a coupla radscorpions to kill. Nothing. Could have at least put in an army of gnomes. . .

I'll start the list for you
Searchlight Airport
most underwater locations (beautifully done, but nothing there)
