Vampire Appearance?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 4:06 pm

how often do you see your char face, and is there a way to zoom in and get a very good, detailed look at your face? I wish you could have a zoom-able, rotatable view of your character like in OB. It does not make sense that beth got rid of this feature, esp. since it exists for all the items in the game.

but since you don't see your face really unless standing still in third person ogling yourself, is it really a gamekiller?

Get close to a wall, zoom in on your face whilst holding the right stick, move the camera around yourself quickly until it clips through the face and exposes the jaws. Fangs.
Now, quit your [censored]ing.

And to really drive the stake through the rumor's heart, tell them that you have Dawnguard as well. But I've been hearing that it's just Harkon that doesn't have fangs, likely because he's his own race or something.

Glad I am not the only one with the lipstick of prostitution. Mine isn't read, it is black. And it makes my character look TERRIBLE. I can hardly look at her. I am thinking about wearing masks/Cowls all the time so I don't have to look at it. The eyes I could live with, but why change the lips?

Why the hell would they do that when you can recreate your characters face at Riften. I wonder if you can fix it at Riften, I like how my Breton vampire looks now, I don't want him to look like a male same six prosttute, no thanks

Vampire cannot get their faces changed in riften...and the new vamp faces are an improvement. Vampires are supposed to be terrifying monsters and not beautiful/handsome. If you want nice looking vampires, then you're in the wrong place. Solution? don't become a vampire or alter your faces before becoming a vampire to get the desired effect.

I wish at stage four you could look like the bat face vampires, like the thrall master in Castle volkihar.

Yes yes that is why all the NPC vampires look awesome except the player and one of many reasons you are probably playing on console, right?

You don't really know enough about what you are talking about. Like the stages of vampirism & why they are the way they are. Powerful vampires in most all popular and none popular fiction do not look like ugly monsters. Matter of fact every TES game with vampirism for the player they did not look like hideous monsters. I have not seen the Dawnguard vampire appearance for myself, but if it is as bad as everyone says it is I can only assume. Stage 4 is suppose to be the monsterous nosferatu look your thinking of.

Your rudeness is uncalled for, I was not being ignorant, I was saying that if they expected vampires to be exceptionally good looking etc etc then they are in the wrong place because these vampires are not handsome creatures...note the bat-like nose. If you haven't got anything nice to say then do not say anything at all, so think first please.

Actually, that is untrue. If you go to a Vampire Den, look at the faces. They look normal except for the eyes. The Master Vampire might have some wrinkles, but that is the extent of their ugliness. Their lips are normal colors. But, if you get changed by one of those normal lipped vampires, you become a vampire with the lips of a goth street walker. Then, if you join the Vampires in Dawnguard, you get the oppurtunity to change an NPC into a vampire. When you visit them, they have normal lips! So not only does it make ZERO sense to have the Dragon Born be the only vampire with a hideous deformity, but it is unwanted by 95% of the fanbase.

Not by all and the ones that do not have the bat-like faces are probably the nords or high elves as for some reason they lack the new eyes and facial features (except the red line)
95% is doubtful, A lot of people may prefer having a plain face but lots of others also like to have proper bat-like vamp faces. Nords, khajiit and high elves seem to be bugged apparently, they do not look like the other vampires and khajiit do not even get glowing eyes. NPC nords do not have bat-like faces nor do the high elves.

I too would like to have the bat-face...now that is a vampire face and a classic one at that. Dracula, lost boys, fright night I,II and R. vampires in angel also had bat-like faces, it is a classic look for them.

It's been confirmed for Argonians that they no longer get the longer fangs.

Oh, yes, I think it's also been confirmed that vampires can't use crossbows as well.

uhh thats not true. as my vamp on xbox i can use a crossbow. granted he's a mage so his archery is terrible, but i can still use it if i choose to. and he's completed the vampire questline.

From what I've read, the thing about Argonians not getting the fangs anymore also seems to be untrue so far as well. But everything about vampire fangs being there or not is being made FAR more confusing than it needs to be. We need the truth as soon as possible, so that people don't end up wasting their time complaining or working on issues that may or may not actually exist.

Well, maybe you can go to the Face Changer (haven't met him yet, much less have any desire to use the services) and pick what color your eyes glow, get rid of any lipstick, let you look like yourself or like the more feral version, paler, etc and such. Dunno if you can do that already, but I'm I'm kinda doubting it for the moment. If you can, then cool. If not, then Hopefully Bethesda will see this and look into making these an option to change.

I'm hoping you can, because I can see my Dunmer Spelllshadow Assassin being all feral, but someone I consider more, errr, 'Neutral' looking less vampire facey (aside from the eyes & teeth I mean).

You can't change your face if you're a vampire, she specifically tells you that she cannot work on undead.

You can't. If you're a Vampire and go to Her she can't change your face.

It's already been confirmed the you cannot use the Face Changer as a vampire.

At least so far the dreaded "no moar fangs :(" rumor seems to be panning out to be false, anyway. We'll know for sure in the upcoming weeks.

Also, ninjas.

Lame. Thanks for the info everyone. Hopefully Bethesda will fix it.
Maybe there'll be someone that pops up in the vamp place who can do it eventually. I'd really like to tweak my characters so they don't all look like they're all feral or something. Normal looking (mostly) like Serana basically.

Anyhow, thanks. Maybe Bethesda will take a look and agree.

Nero Mort let me give you some history on Dracula and vampires in popular culture,

Castlevania, speaks for it self, Dracula, Carmilla and other vampires in every single game of the series Including Lord of Shadows has normal looking (badass looking) vampires.

Bram Stokers Dracula, what started it all, the way he looks alone along with his more monsterous forms.

Underworld

Underworld Evolution, Marcus, him and Bram Stokers Dracula inspired Vampire Lords form.

Lord Harkon, his wife, his daughter, about every vampire in Skyrim I have seen

You as said above at part of he very small %5 of the world who has a different view point on vampires. You are the rude one, not me, most of us want a more demonic look at Stage 4 as it should be. You have a entirely different view and opinion on vampires then most of the entire world, go ahead and keep trolling though.
