Not sure if this can be answered yet due to NDA however, when you have Dawnguard does it change your vampire characters appearance to resemble that of the vampires in castle volkihar?

Good question, im sure you will find out very soon when the dlc is released.

It probably will if you become a vampire lord.

From the trailer it looks like the only difference would be the new eyes, but due to the NDA this won't be answered for another hour (hopefully) or two.

That's not the ONLY difference. Vampires will also no longer have fangs for some dumb reason.

Yeah it does. and so far thats my only problem with this dlc. He looked so cool before what with his red eyes and gaunt face. I don't know why but beth decided that dawnguard vamps should wear red lipstick and have an out of place red line going from the tip of the nose down to the chin making the mouth look like a plus sign (+). so in my honest oppinion i went from looking like a evil, yet subtle, vampire to a transvestite jack-o'-lantern with a knights templar cross smack in the mouth. other than than i love Dawnguard

On female vampires it's fine, but I can see how it would be annoying on a male. Just magic lipstick out of nowhere.

Yeah, the eyes are fine. I like them. The lipstick just looks ridiculous though, especially since you're the only vampire in the game with such bright red lips. Everyone elses are unchanged.

Vampires can use crossbows just like any other weapon, they just don't find a lot of them. Crossbows are meant to be rare for everyone but the Dawnguard.

Why take away one of the unique things about Argonian vamps that other vamps didn't have? What's next, are they going to take away the pale/grey skin of a aronian vamp? Dawnguard is supposed to make vamps cooler not lamer. I really hope they don't take away the fangs of the Khajiit vamp (the ones that make you look like a sabercat)

I noticed that Harkon didn't fangs in the trailer.Well now I've heard it both ways. I've heard from one person that vampirism bars you from using crossbows, and now you're saying that they can use crossbows. Someone better go and double check that you can use a crossbow as a vampire and take a screenshot of it if possible.Yeah, I'm currently like this right now trying to figure out how the fangs are implemented right now. I'm getting the impression that a mod that adds fangs to vampires would have to be done as an equipable item using one of the unused slots, since I think that FaceGen stuff is done using an application we don't have access to. Stupid lemons wreaking havoc on an otherwise awesome-looking DLC.

Yeah, I have no idea what they were thinking myself. Maybe they'll add them back in if there's enough complaints about it? Then again, there's still no spears, wild lycanthropes, werebears, or general improvements to magic yet, either, and those are ALL big demands. Of course we don't know what will be in Hearthfire yet, though.

I don't even want to use the crossbow because my character's a mage, but I thought I'd do it just to check.

That's fine, but bolts are my main issue, not crossbows. I hope I can learn to make them too at some point

That's good enough for me.I don't know what you mean. I don't think it is legally possible to revert the vampire face back to how it is in vanilla if that's what you're asking. Not unless you are on PC or possibly you delete the Dawnguard expansion off your hard drive, which would likely be counterproductive.

I just corrupted the entire thread because of something I read about in another thread. At least it relates to vampire appearance, anyway.
