By lore, Cyrodiilic vampires are suppose to look sixy, Not Twilight sixy, but Dracula sixy/dangerous sixy/stalkerish.

I am sort of glad the Volkihar doesn't look pretty. It fits lore.
Personally I would take the bat nose over the red line any day but noooooooooooo bethesda did not give us garans awesome bat nose sometimes I stand there in awe jealous of his awesome face all I get is a dirty face and a red line going down from my nose to my lip.

Plus many of the npcs in the castle don't have the red line they just look normal with the new vampire eyes and let me just say thank god for mods.

Does anyone else loathe that red line that runs from your nose to your chin when youre a vampire lord? I have a nord with light skin tones and blonde hair and that line just makes her look hideous. Im overly-picky on how my characters look and I spend a lot of time making them look just right. I really wanted to be a vampire lord but I wont do it if the butt-ugly line is there. I figured it might have been some sort of graphical thing so I went to the face-changer to see if I could move some things around and make it less noticable or somehow remove it.... and of COURSE you cant use her skills if youre a vampire... some bull-[censored] about taking a "different path" or whatever.

Like I stated I know i'm overly-picky on this but.... damn I hate that stupid line, looks like my character has a nose-bleed.

If by some astronomical chance a bathesda employee sees this: Please for the love of Talos, give us a way to get rid of the line!!! It haunts my dreams.

Thank you.

Um, I'm confused. You see that's a CHARACTERIZATION of a VAMPIRE. That's like not like tomatoes for being red. It's just the way it is....I mean can't you wrap your mind behind that aesthetic.

Considering NONE of the vampires in Castle Volkihar have them, its obviously something that bethesda did wrong....

They have them in my game...I'm actually the only one who doesn't and I'm trying to figure out if a file is missing or something.

I personally use a mod off the nexus to get my Better Females look back with the vampire eyes (also different from a mod on the nexus)

Plus according to skyrim wiki the volkihar clan is supposed to be able to blend into society well so in other words, no but ugly vamp for me :P

I like it, i was never a fan of fantasy that tries to make everything so very pretty.

Im surprised and pleasantly so by the changes you go through to be a vamp ^^

To each their own :) that's why I love the PC version of Skyrim so much, if someone wants a bat faced monstrous vamp, there's a mod for that! if someone wants a more traditional attractive vampire, there's a mod for that too!

Yeah agreed, buying Skyrim for anything but PC is a really bad bad choise :D
I mean, on PC you can pretty much customize your game to be as you want it to be, its colors, its difficulty, its content, all of it : o

Hell yes, throw in ASIS, Deadly Dragons and Locational Damage for tougher enemies (they use potions, react faster, have better spells/perks), more spawns (I fight off legions of enemies now, as in I walk into a fort and there's a good 50+ bandits/forsworn and when a dragon spawn usually it's 2-5 dragons...you try fighting off 2-5 dragons at once), 200% dragon health, unique super-powerful dragons and damage based on zones so you can get one-shotted by a stray arrow if you're not careful.

Makes the game crazzzzier then usual.

I never saw it before reading this thread.
Now I can't help but see it. :stare:

I don't think it's ugly, it doesn't detract from her features any.
...it still bugs me a little now that I know it's there. My eyes go right to it now.

...sigh...

Why not? :P They were by far the most creepy/scary vampires to come across :D They are perfect for Skyrim, the land itself fits the idea of scary vampires, not ones for sixual appeal :)

I like the line. It's something I've not seen before to distinguish a Vampire from a normal person, and at least playing a Vampire in Skyrim doesn't completely change your features like it did in Oblivion (I hated that). I wish Vampires voices changed like they did in Morrowind as well, but that's a different topic...

Oh man.. that awful vampire fiasco from Oblivion...
I remember being so excited for Oblivion and the way they changed vamps from Morrowind. I'm thinking red eyes..fangs..bite attacks...

What did I end up with? A vampire that looks like he is on his way to a nursing home. Ouch.

In games I always create a Dark Elf/Dunmer who already looks Vampire-like with pale skin and red, white or black eyes (and purple once), so in Oblivion my pale Dunmer got darker skin and looked less like an ageless being when she became a Vampire. Grrr.
