It's not that Vampire Lord svcks, it's that your character is so jacked up anything else would be terrible.

That's not always the case... I've got my Nightingale Armor to Legendary only by using enchanted smithing gear and a smithing skill of 100 and I've never used the alchemy loop\cheat.

Aha... well that would rule out my thief (dabbles in enchanting to increase the value of stolen goods, mixes poisons for use or sale), as well as my paladin type (does NOT use soul gems at all, mixes only beneficial potions to health/magicka/stamina). The mage character I played (on XBox, playing now on PC) didn't go anywhere near a smithy, ever. The ONLY character I've played that could even come close to this exploit would be a conflicted Orc mage/fighter who was thrown out by his family because of his magical skills. And he only used Orcish armor until resolving his "issues" and becoming Dragonborn, at which point he crafted himself Dragonbone armor. Still, taking advantage of design loopholes seems, well, just wrong to me. But, to each his own.

Hehe, I am sorry that you VL doesn't match up to your human form, but....

When I read your reasoning for Vampire Lord svcking, I laughed out loud. And in a mocking sort of way, too.

EDIT: I've found VL form to be magnificent. Playing on Master it gives me tremendous mobility, versatility, and self-sufficiency. I'd say Vampire Lord would be my favorite thing about Dawnguard.

Ah yes, the fortify restoration glitch. You want a stronger vampire lord? Simply make a glitched out fortify alteration potion, drink it, and cast the spell ebony flesh or dragon hide. If the potion has a high enough percentage you can retain the effect indefinitely like that of a dead thrall.
i did that 2 man was freaking cool as hell

+1, and i thought EA was bad.

It's a single player game, there's no reason someone shouldn't be able to be as over/underpowered as they want to be. It's just a choice, it's not like the game forces you into one of them.
