Didn't know there was going to be a demo... I guess that must have been announced on the Wasteland forums.

Yes, there is going to be a Beta that will be open to those who backed. As for what tier it's available I'm not sure, I thought it was available to everyone who backed above $10.

Must have been so long that I have forgotten... sort of like with shadowrun and project eternity since they still haven't set up their donor database sites..

And Shadowrun Returns is supposed to come out in April?

It was a nice video. I didn't expect the first look at the game to be that long.

That was a nice video, but it was nowhere near satisfactory despite its length. I need MORE!

I must say that I really like how this game is shaping out to be. This is giving me old school vibes, and at the same time it feels new and refreshing. I'm definitely looking forward to more videos and information.

I was thinking "I am going to buy that when it comes out" when I realized I backed the project so I'm already getting it.

Topic dialogue system was a horrible idea, doesn't look like they're engaged in a discussion when only one person is doing all the talking.

I backed it also; so far, it's looks to be money well spent.

Watched it then let out a depressed sigh, realizing that October is still months away and can't come any sooner. At least I can revel in the fact that Shadowrun Returns may come out a few months before then so I'll be playing that.

There are people on the official forums complaining about how they'd change things. Some don't like the fact the camera can be rotated, some don't like the UI. Peopled miss the fact that Fargo said all of that is customizable. I have no complaints about it. It looks fantastic. In fact, I'm going to watch it again.

Stating the obvious, don't rotate the camera.

"But, but you need to."

Well rotate it then.

Are they making an old game, or a good game?

GOOD GAME.

I also saw one comment on the official forums about the loot being terrible. I'm sitting here going, o_0 'Clearly, this person has never played Wasteland original, you'd find canteens all the time. They were useful. I'd expect nothing less form W2 in regards to loot. And any good RPG has low level loot and early levels.'

Yeah, I saw the stuff people were talking about on the W2 forums. The rotating camera complaint is one I can't wrap my mind around. However, those vision cones -- representing the enemies field of view -- are terrible and I'm not too thrilled with the keyword system. Reminds me of Morrowind, though with Morrowind you couldn't type your own keywords. I thought that system was a little boring and I also felt I had little impact on the dialogue. It's like I was asking a bunch of questions on different subjects rather than talking to the NPCs and at times I just wasn't engaged in conversations.

Other than that I feel nothing else but relief. Money well spent, as far as I'm concerned.

Why?

Their appearance is based on a perception check, so you might not ever get them to show if your character(s) aren't built appropriately (or if you decide not to attempt to check them at all to begin with). Or do you mean how they 'look'?

Ah. Well, I was going to say it looked constricted. I didn't know it was based on perception, though. I guess missed that bit of information.
