wearing 2 rings instead of 1

You can enchant both helmets and circlets... It's just a balance issue. Too many pieces of clothing/jewelry with the easy and cheap enchanting system in this game would make you a near God just minutes into the game.

IMO yes there is the balance issue. But people that aren't abusing the exploits don't really get much in enchanting stuff. Morrowind and Oblivion both had the second ring and I was NOT over powered. The problem with Skyrim is they tried a new area of the game mechanics like crafting and didn't do very well. I saw this coming before the release date. BGS and other single player game companies do not know how to balance crafting professions like the makers of MMOs. Example in AION.... When you crafted to a certain level. The game forced you to make more complex and higher quality items to gain XP to the next level of crafting. Which IMHO kept things balanced. BGS didn't take this into account and thus we now have major exploits. Also I doubt I could be Godlike just minutes into the game with enchanting. I do not think +5 fire dmg or +10 Resist or HP is going to get you very far. When you start the game, you can buy better enchanted gear then you can make by far.

Oblivion had helmet, cuiruass, greaves, shield, gauntlets, boots two ringsand amulet for total of 9

Thank you!

Just checked my game and there you have it.... you can wear two rings!!! What you couldn't do is stack them - wear two of the same rings. So now why can't we wear two in Skyrim????

Then people will complain how overpowered pants are, and the 8th installment of TES will be called TES : Streakwalker.

Is it bad I read that as "Streetwalker"?

I expect that the "official answer" is balance.

I also expect that the "real answer" is that they spent the "2 rings" development money somewhere else, like on the Perks GUI.

I suspect the "real answer" is "oops we over looked that" think of all the stuff that has been over looked and not being able to wear two rings is not that far fetched. I mean really Bows/daggers/swords that cant be upgraded just to name a few items.

Just try the mod, and see for yourself, if the game gets unbalanced with a certain number of rings.

I bet many players end up with 1 permanent ring (your basic boost, pretty much like a standing stone-effect....an equip-and-never-look-back ring, sortof), and 1 variable ring (depends on the actual situation, where a different 2nd ring is needed).
That's what I'm planning to do, but I'm waiting for the next mod-version.
