wearing 2 rings instead of 1

I hope with the next upgrade that we could wear not just 1 ring but 2.

I doubt it but it would be nice but from what I've seen we might not even get rings in the next elder scrolls.

Mr Courier, why do you assume that? I hope thats not true because it would ruin the game.

It makes sense that you should be able to wear more than one ring. I assume the reason for this is because of balance issues.

I assume that mainly cause how badly the game has been cut down already.

There's a mod that enables multiple rings....make sure to read the description, and the comments, like this post from Blackjackgarry:

@skinnydrumma - regarding the problem with 'same rings' and not usable

Well, I also use this great mod. Unfortunatly skinnydrumma is right. Two or more of the same rings (eg Silver Ring) will not be useable. Also, his workaround is not always working. This depends if other crafting mods, eg- JewelCraft (or Tytanis which uses JewelCraft) are installed. In my cas (with Tytanis) I craftet an ebony ring, witch is for the game engine a silver ring!
So what we have here, is a problem ot the interlnal ObjectIDs. These crafting mods seem to use the same IDs as the original rings. In this case you cannot equip these craftet rings twice. As in above example, if I equip my ebony ring, my silver ring gets unequiped - and vice versa.

No Problem (thinking of...) - use another silver ruby ring. Well, now I cannot equip another golden ruby ring... Also, as it seems, if you use ingame vanilla rings (unenchanted ones) its somtetimes working.
So basicly - you have to test and find the combinations that works. Or, wait until CK is out. Hopefully the modders will then try to find a solution...

I found the following ring/jewel combinations (in comb. with mod Tytanis/JewelCraft):
Silver,
Silver Ruby,
Silver Amethyst
Silver Garnet,
Gold,
Gold Emerald,
Gold Diamond,
Gold Sapphire
(and; Gold Amethyst will deselect silver topaz and silver and vice-versa)

So, in case your crafting yourself a half-god character - its not completely working. You will have max 8 crafted/enchanted rings. Enchanted ingame rings are not counted here - but to tailer yourself your rings - only 8 are useable together.
This means not, that you cannot enchant same rings - eg. silver ruby rings - with different enchantments. The rings will be shown separate, but you can only equip one. So, you may tailor somekind of 'sets'. Eg. Rings for archery and sneaking, looting,...

...haven't tried it yet, but I guess your game will still show only 1 ring equipped on your character.

I miss the Daggerfall equipment scheme. Although once you get to the point where you can buy magic items at the mage guild it did become ridiculous with all the overpowered items you could wear. One thing I have wondered about is why can't you wear clothes under your armor?

This, also, Something I have wondered is why no ear rings. Especially for the females.

Why just 2 rings when both hands have 10 fingers? Make it 10 rings...

Exactly...
They did this to balance the issue to wearing a circlet instead of the 2nd ring. It is still 3 pieces of jewelry. On the other hand I understand that some people might want to wear helms instead. So there should be the option of using a 2nd ring.

You can enchant both helmets and circlets... It's just a balance issue. Too many pieces of clothing/jewelry with the easy and cheap enchanting system in this game would make you a near God just minutes into the game.

Yup those 1 point of health, stamina, magic, or skill enchants are killer!

I understand what you are saying but I don't understand why so many have a negative perspective on being godly, it really has been a staple of Elder Scroll games since there inception.

I don't have any negative feelings towards being Godly. I think that if you want it, then you should be able to do it... I was just saying why Bethesda did it...

Not that I'm comparing but you can wear two rings in Dragon Age, both games. Didn't seem to be a balance issue there.

Anyway I too vote for two rings.

Then make the rings have a limit on the power of enchantment they can hold. Balance issue is irrelevant IMO it is more related to performance/memory saving for hardware reason, juste like fusing greaves and chest in armors and such.

Although I wouldn't hold a weapon in a hand full of rings... must not be the most practical thing...

As for clothes under armor (ah, daggerfall paperdoll awesomeness), I suppose the clipping is a high concern too for today's standards. I actually don't care much about clipping as long as it is not 100% of the time in front of your face... But imagine the work of fitting all armor pieces to match as flawlessly as possible all the piece of cloth ? might be too much work for the benefits, in dev's eyes.

Also... why no tail-specific jewelry for Argonians and Khajits?

you got 10 fingers so 10 rings should be possible!
2 rings each finger = 20
Plus 1 ring on each toe = 30

This is overall a kinda dumb complaint, though. Sure, they could change it that you could wear X rings. But then for balance they'd just have to make the max enchantment be current/X. Same net result. BFD.

You can not wear a circlet and helmet / hood except the falmer helmet bug or mods.

We lost two item slots since Oblivion, we lost a lot from Morrowind to Oblivion 6 I think.
Expect to loose 2-3 next time to.

Mods again, had tail rings in Oblivion, however lots of mods in Oblivion used the tail slot for circlets, backpacks or capes.

the fact that you can only wear one ring proves that it is BETH'S fault of poor design. other games, including, their own have managed it.

it proves inadequate leveling/scale.

It made sense in prior games as your character could wear two rings and one necklace. I know we have more fingers than that, but one ring on each hand is not overpowering. If it is, then reduce the enchantment magnitude for each ring.
