Welcome to the Dishonored forums!

i'm very much hoping this is going to wind up being Deus Ex in City 17 but with Thief/STALKER's focus on player skill rather than Deus Ex's focus on character skill, but i'm expecting unnecessary skills and dumb RPG elements anyway.

either way i'm pumped as [censored]. between Skyrim, Deus Ex, and next year Prey 2, Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite, STALKER 2 and this, this decade is shaping up to be an incredible resurgence of immersive sims.

This game sounds promising. I will definitely take a look when it's released.

EDIT: By the way, welcome to Bethesda, Arkane :intergalactic:

One question: is the game being developed in Lyon, Austin or both? I just hope it's not a 2013 title.
We like to think Arkane as a single studio working in two offices. So yes, the whole studio (both offices) is dedicated to Dishonored right now; we're aiming for a 2012 release.

I forgot to mention....this better be for PC *shakes fist*
Just like all Bethesda games, Dishonored will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. ;)

It's nice to see devs from some of my favourite games working under one umbrella :)

Best of luck with Dishonoured, the early artwork looks nice.

both of Arkane's previous games were RPGs, but i wouldn't assume anything just yet. it's certainly not going to be just another shooter - expect a full-on FPS/RPG, but don't make any assumptions as to which side of that coin it favors yet.

Arx Fatalis was an RPG...sort of, but what other game made by Arkane was an RPG? I asked the ? because a dev was in here earlier, but I guess he didnt want to answer it.

It's a must learn more!

If others are already in dire need about this, I think I will throw my hat in the ring too.

Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah were both RPGs. don't be pedantic.

DM was definitely not an RPG. Pedantic? I couldn't care less about it if its not an RPG. Its a simple question. Is this game an RPG, or does it have RPG mechanics?

Where's the like button?

EDIT: BTW why is there an Arx Fatalis logo on top of this forum?

With Arkane becoming part of the Bethesda family, we'll be hosting forums for Arx Fatalis here soon.

Sounds good.Always nice to have a promising game on the radar.

Glad to hear you're excited. Great avatar, btw!
