I am, of course, totally in favour of werebears appearing in Skyrim. :D

I don't get games for my PC, it is too weak for hardly anything, so if werewolves or some wolf-like race one could choose for the character they play as isn't included with the game itself when it is launched, I'll never be able to experience that, because since I can't get it for my PC, I can't make us of some mods that may come later. :/

We all know how much you just looooooooooooove wolves, but its not a wolf thread. If you want to talk about how awesome Werebears are, do it. Stick to the topic, please.

Im going off other lore as well. But It does seem I misquoted the book On Lycanthropy and I admit my mistake.

Werebean?

"The pale moon, placid and mocking, demanded the gaze of the helpless man. He knelt, writhing in pain as the transformation began. Now laying still, without strength, he was fully transformed, and there in the middle of the road, lay a solitary bean..."

Haha, I actually laughed out loud at that, which was awkward, all of my family where just staring at me.

I am all for werebears, even though my favorite animal is the wolf. They should be bitter enemies in a long, underground war, and you get to choose what side! or obliterate them all. Their fate, is up to you.

Perfect Easter egg, a werebear wearing a green hat and tie, and a smaller werebear wearing a bow.

Hahaha! THIS!

Maybe we'll get to meet up with the Skaal again.

Possibly but not very likely. The Skaal people left skyrim due to cultural beliefs and conflicts.

Only problem is the balance of adding so many werebeasts in Skyrim. Having werebears, werewolves, and wereboars would be a bit game breaking. Especially since Lore tells that werewolves and wereboars are the only two recorded lycanthropes in tamriel. No one has really seen a werebear before and even though Skyrim is rumored to have them, most people of Nirn dismiss Werebears as a stupid joke. With that said, I wouldn't mind seeing werewolves and wereboars but more so of werewolves.

It is entirely possible. I mean how many solid answers are there in TES? If anything, wereboars are the ones that wouldn't be in Skyrim. I'd say werewolves and werebears would fit in perfectly. Stealth or straightforward combat. Werethings can be balanced with by adding a weakness to silver weapons, and a life time of hate for your character if you are discovered. And maybe other things depending on the gameplay.

Hircines realm has werevears that hunt mortals during the day and werewolves that hunt WITH Hircine at night,. Werebears are confirmed.

And since Werewolves hunt with Hircine, he clearly favors them for their hunting prowess

That would be a large Easter Egg, if it was indeed actually an egg. Whoa, a nasty and gnarly werebear hatched from that giant egg!

He should be the werebear leader, a bear with a suit, top hat, and cane.

Wouldnt that make them Daedra?

And she hunts with them because they must be helped in their hunt.

I'd want to see werewolves for sure, werebears would be a plus I guess. But I don't see how anybody would think a werebear would be cooler than a werewolf.

No. Read Infernal City. The Nords ride werebears and have big spears.

No, it's just a curse. There could be mortals living in his realm just like they lived in Sheogorath's realm just because they are in his realm doesnt make them daedra.

I wouldn't look upon Lycanthropy as a curse but a gift from Hircine. Most people, more so the Witches of Gynmoril Wyrd, take Lycanthropy as a gift. Most of Hircine's followers think the same.

I agree as well. Hircine is a bit merciful, in daggerfall he sent the player to kill a wereboar whos been whining about his Lycanthropy.

Amen to that. srw0701 knows right. If Werewolves are in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and no Werebears, you others will learn to get past it and appreciate what you get, and even like it. ;)

YES.

Next question? :D

I actually really hope that any other lycanthropes aren't physiologically the exact same as a werewolf, but with a different head model. Unless I'm mistaken, there are no actual rules about having to be the exact same. I mean, I definatley don't want a slim werebear/fat werewolf.
