What armour are you most looking forward to? What one do you

For roleplaying reasons, I'm *really* looking forward to bonemold armor, if it's included.

Definitely the Bonemold.

Stalhrim was hideous in Morrowind. What little of it we've seen is infinitely better, but I really need to see it in-game before I make the call. The Stalhrim Sword looks "Too Fat", but that could just be odd angles.

Ebony Armor from Vanilla looked great, I thought the sword was embarassingly ugly. There's not enough "Blade" to it, it's seriously like 2/3's useless structure. Had the blade flowed all the way to the handle, I might be saying something different.

Bonemold armor is medium armor, right? So do you suppose this mean they are adding a new armor class or changing the armor?

Most looking forward to: unsure

Most hated in Skyrim: don't hate any of them - can't say I am too fond of glass armor - I tend to prefer the more rustic looking armors in Skyrim (fur, banded iron)

I want to grab my hands on Stahlrim Armor, and my current fav armors are Blades one and Dawnguard's.

There should be heavy and light variants of Bonemold (And Stalhrim, and Chitin, and the new Nordic) as per the 1.8 data mine a few weeks ago, that first unofficially outed the Dragonborn DLC.

i dont like Dwarven armour , or Iron armour , the Blades armour feals more Asian like their swords which doesnt make any sense since this game is very European fantasy styled
thats one reason i dont like that armour as well .
probably the best armours in the game is still Daedric and Ebony .
my fave however is Vampire armour especially on the female characters . i actually thought the generic female vampire armour looks better then the female vampire royal armour .
im hoping there will be more cloth and light armour types in Dragonborn then the ones you see in the trailer .
most of the armour types in the trailer i found pretty unexciting ... that just me though :)
p.s CAPES PLEASE! bethesda with flow based technology :)

capes need to be introduced only if beth releases a patch for objects to be non rigid. Let them flap around etc.

Blades armor was always influenced by Akaviri design, which is exactly Asian-like.
And I think if female vampire armor didn't have boob-windows, you would have liked it less :)
I dislike Daedric Helmet - it feels like motorcycle helmet :D Although there's enough space for beast faces in there, so...

Looking forward to Stahlrim armour, looked pretty badass in the trailer.

In Skyrim I disliked the glass armour, it screwed with lore.
It's supposed to be made from volcanic glass of Red Mountain, not this Malacite or what ever it was called.
It also looked ugly, bring back the Morrowind glass armour.

My least favourite in vanilla is probably ebony. It doesn't need a total redesign or anything though, its just that helmet that messes things up.

Agreed. The helmet looks... too "thin" it needs to be more wider...

As to what armour I'm looking forward to most... I honestly can't answer this, unless there's a full list of all new armours (yeah, we know of a few... but there might be more right?) I'm also hoping with this DLC being called "Dragonborn" there will be a special "Dragonborn" armour... something unique which only you can get, and not any of the NPCs.

As to my favorite armour... I really like the Thieves Guild Armours (finally armour that makes you feel like a thief), and Nightingale Armour.

because the last thing we need is skyrims female NPC's is to lose even more of there femininity , when the majority of armour and clothing for female NPC's is horrid .:)
i actually like the daedric helmet when i first saw it i was like WOW , but i can understand the hole " looks like a motorcycle helmet "

im looking forward to the stalrim(ice) armor and in vanilla skyrim i hated orcish armor

Well, I've got some bad news for you; the stalhrim armour in Dragonborn is a retextured Orcish armour (the chest is at least, boots look to be retextured ancient Nord, can't see the rest clearly enough).

The only armour that looked appealing that trailer was that one Nordic bear helmet. In vanilla, I disliked the ancient Nord armour.

Im looking forward to Bonemold.
I can hope for Indoril, but I think there will be none of them in the DLC.
So, Bonemold it is.

All about that nord armor baby! Berzerker or bear armor, whatever it will be called looks perfect for my Nord. The armor I hate is Ebonymail because of the damn enchantments it has that covers the amor up in combat. One of the best looking armors in the game, and I can't see it in combat...

For now I guess I'm looking forward to Miraak's gear. Hard to judge any of the other potentially new armour in the trailer.

You're spot on about the ebony helmet, especially the look from the back.

The actual design of ebony armour isn't to bad,it's just bland and colour-less. Morrowinds ebony armour was awesome, especially the helmet.

I'm not a fan of light armour in skyrim at all really. Hide, studded, and scaled are all too similar/copy paste. Glass looks good and elven is ok also, even more so if combined with glass.

And don't get me started on the light armour helmets ( with the exception of glass and elven ),they are just awful. There is also a severe lack of hoods in this game. I shouldn't have to join a faction to obtain one. They should be in shops and different colours,to match other armours. Linwe's hood design is by far the best. That type of hood ( and others ) should be available to buy in different colours. More ranger type clothing ,armour, gear is called for.

I'm looking forward to the old armour's also. Like many others,i would love to see indoril and Dreugh armour also.

I like royal vampire armor. It looks classy while not being [censored]ty. I'm actually looking forward to all the new weapons than the armor. I do want Miraak's gear though.

Not that it is armor, but I'd really like to get some good mage robes. The best looking robes in the game right now are just one piece sets that really lack the "magic look".

More sweet robes, Bonemold, Stahlrim.

Dragonbone Cuirass would be cool too, I don't know why that wasn't in Vanilla.

For all intents and purposes, it was... It just wasn't the particular one enchanted by Zurin Arctus.

Aethetics are irrelevant technically. No item is going to look exactly like it does in previous games. The Ebony Blade looks different, the Ebony Mail looks different, The Mace of Molag Bal looks different, Savior's Hide looks different, eve Spellbreaker looks different.

I've been wanting to get my hands on Ice Armor ever since I heard that TES V was going to be in Skyrim. Glad I can finally get that.

I don't hate any armors per say that are in the game now, but I do hate the gaps in armors for Light Armor. If I am playing a character that does not want to wear that Atlmer Elven junk (and many of my characters are like this) then there is a large gap between Leather and Scale. And then Scaled is about it until Dragonscale if you consider Glass as an elven designed armor also (and it kind of is).

So for a traditionalist Nord warrior in Light Armor you can go from Hide/Fur/Studded to Leather to Scaled to Dragon Scale. There are some big gaps there I would like to see filled in and it's even worse if you look at the light shields since there is no Scaled shield at all.
