What did you do when you depressed?

Come to Hawai'i!! Failing that...

Go walk/move like a slug around outside and take in nature. Realize how big it is. The grand scale of the cosmos. The ever present incredibly depth of interplay between ecosystems. Realize just how small everything is and that everything will be alright with it no matter what happens to you. Then realize you can channel that feeling into motivating yourself. Life goes on. When death comes knocking you just have to keep moving and keep the other person's memories alive by your own actions. You can say they will be with you in spirit. Either literally in Religion or just through your memories of them. It will be bittersweet but action is the only way to get over such things.

Sometimes you need self validation and video games cannot give you a true helping of that. Just pale imitation. Go out in the world and experience it. Jamming with some strangers might help. Go to a music instrument shop and just browse around. If it is a cool one they will let you play their instruments. Maybe talk to the people in their about music and in time open up about what is bothering you through music. Write a song or even notes that in some way describe how you feel.

I am correct in assuming someone close to you passed away right?

Thank you everyone, I just realized something.
My brother was giving his life to me, his own twin brother. That so he can see the world changes through me. We're twins, our souls are one. So he not really die, he alive through me.
Now I feel much better. I can finaly breathe. Thank you everyone, I appreciate your help :)

I used to go for really long walks on my own. Thinking things through was much easier if I was out moving than sat in my room.

Good to know :foodndrink:

I am more pissed off at the death of my brother (to the point some say I should take anger management) then I am depressed. I take care of that by drinking, reading, watching tv, sleeping, and putting what energy I have into working (I don't drink while at work lol).

Yep, as I said, do things to honor him and in memory of him. It's what he would want. Start with baby steps then move on to bigger steps. Each day do just a wee bit more...in his name.

That is probably the best way to think of it. What you learned and experienced with him will live on through his actions. Like every single human being will live on through the actions of the entire species and those who left an impact will live on the most in each of our lives. If he made a big impact on you each action you make will have a little trace of him in it. That is how humanity progresses and that is how you should as well. Good for you man! Hope our posts helped you a bit.
