So what is everyone doing to prepare for dragonborn?

That's great, I like your style. True RPGer.

thanks, I always role play when it comes to this game. I find it really fun for me and it keeps the game a challenge even when I'm a higher level.

Just do the
Spoiler
Destroy the Dark Brotherhood
quest.

Oh I mean to... But my character is Good in the sense "Don't kill what's not trying to kill you or other innocents."

So
Spoiler
the old lady who takes care of the children, even though she's an abusive ol'bat who deserves to get beaten to a pulp, death is a bit of a 'next step' in my eyes at least.

I've been saving the Dark Brotherhood questline for when Dragonborn releases. I haven't played the questline since prerelease of Skyrim.

Chopping wood. I've been collecting iron ingots on this character to boost up my smithing since the start of this character. 962 pieces to go.

1. Updating all of the mods I use to work with the current patch. I have not played much Skyrim since Dangaurd was released for PC.
2. I have a Level 12 character that needs to get Dragonrend, and then join the Dawngaurd. I will play the character until She finishes Dawngaurd, and the Civil War.
3. Play Fallout New Vegas for a few weeks.
4. Wait until Dragonborn is released for the PC, then update my mods because of the 1.9 Patch, Axe The Cleaver will soon enjoy Pork Chops, and Skewering Reiklings.
5. World ends the day after Dawnguard is released for PC because the Mayan Calendar turns out to be accurate, I die never getting to actually play :violin:

I see that some people are leveling their characters, some people are sitting in their player homes until it comes etc.

So what are you doing with your character(s) in preparation for dragonborn?

I am thinking of which armours and weapons to wear on my arrival to solstheim. What weapons to take and what clothes and armour to take. I am also leveling my archery and sneak.
I'm going to use my latest character, who has just reached level 81.

I think he's ready. I might build two new dragonbone swords for him and super-smith and dual enchant them, but it's not strictly necessary.
Legendary dragons fall before me like a scythe harvesting wheat. That ODB (Original DragonBorn) is gonna have to be one macho hombre to be able to last more than 10 seconds with me.

Started a new nord 2H warrior when i first heard of Dragonborn.
I plan to get all shouts and unlock them, also finish the main questlines and do the million things in my quest log, and get some good ranged weaponry.
Basically, do everything i'd do normally

No it's not. i just got through getting to 100 last night. Just smith your most recent type of gear and valuable jewelry. Along with Well Rested and the Warrior stone, you'll be at 100 before you know it. In fact, smithing ebony bows and improving them made the last 20 levels a breeze. This was my first time smithing with the changes in place and I liked it. Dwarven bows, orcish helmets/armor, and ebony bows along with jewelry are what I used.

- Got my legendary dragon armor ready for DB, now for the shouts.

There's probably been some changes since pre-release, but that questline isn't exactly
cream of the crop, so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you... Except for the last mission,
that was pretty cool, even though you had to

kill the Emperor, who is (was?) super duper awesome

voikahar relics? Never heard of em. What are they and how do I get! Lol.

I think he means Volkihar artifacts. You need Dawnguard and have to side with the vamps. Once you finish the MQ for them start doing missions for the vampires at Castle Volkihar.

for me really nothing i have ALL the dragon priest masks, i have all the werewolf perks, my armor rating is over 600, i have badass weapons, all the shouts, over 10,00,00 gold, and i'm at level 81...I'm all set

Sorry to break it to you but you're armour rating is not over 600. Armour rating is capped at 80% damage reduction which occurs at armour rating 567. It may say it is 600 or higher but in reality it is not.
