What "Gods" does your character follow or worship?

Sheogorath has many ways to make you worship him. Impersonating a deity from another universe is one of them.

In a fantasy world where mere mortals can wield magic and craft illusions, is it really surprising some people wonder if the gods aren't merely powerful mages or creatures? If there's a bountiful harvest, claim it's because the majority prayed and was faithful. If disaster strikes, blame the faithless and the false. You only know what you did, and can wonder if your neighbor was true or not. Who's to say the priests aren't just making it all up to get donations?

In that sense, yes, as it does depend on one's definition of a God as well. One could easily see the Daedra or the Divines as no more than powerful supernatural beings, but they are hardly omnipotent or omniscient. They are much more akin to Greek or Norse Gods who are heavily anthropomorphised.

That however, wouldn't be aetheism per se, in that you are not denying these being's existence, you are simply denying their God-hood. I really really love TES...

My character(s) is likely to follow the following: *grin*

Meridia, Lady of Infinite Energies: for i share "her" hatred for the undead as well as necromancers.

Azura, Queen of Dawn and Dusk: not sure yet but likely 'cause "she" is concidered to be less evil.

Kynareth, Goddess of the Heavens, Patron of sailors and travelers: Uhm...what can i say, pirate. *Wink*

Auriel, Trinimac, Yfrre, Ar'Kay, Magnus, Xarxes, Syrabane, Phynaster, Mara, and Xen

A slightly modified Aldmeri pantheon.

Sithis is Padomay, therefore only the Daedra descend from him.

Still, if I recall correctly the Aedra are from Padomay and Anu combined (Having both parts of good and evil). So you could say that they are partially derived from Sithis. I think I read this in "A children's Anuad" or something similar. I could be wrong though.

Well I, of course, will worship the ancestor gods like any right-thinking altmer. Auri-El, Syrabane, Phynaster, Mother Mara, even Stendarr, who shows mercy even to the Doom-Drum's pawns.

Sithis is a very misunderstood concept, like many primordial forces in real mythology and theology. He is not a god per se, but a force of nature and state of being. He has been described as both the absense of everything / complete stasis and a state of ultimate chaos where nothing can fully come into existence. These two ideas, while opposite, pretty much amount to the same thing: sithis is the void. It's even believed that the psijiics were the first to begin studying this entity before the dark brotherhood misunderstood it as an actual being.

I think affixing any actual concrete sphere to Padhome is, ultimately, overly simplifying, but useful for explaining the basic concept. The most complete way I've come up with to explain Anu and Padhome is a bit of a tautology, I think, but it's the best way I can think of to explain the relationship without trying to affix concrete concepts to either one. Anu IS anything Padhome IS NOT. Padhome IS NOT anything Anu IS. Since, ultimately, that's the interaction: cosmic IS, cosmic IS NOT.

Padhome most definitely IS NOT evil, though, because applying moralistic ideals to concepts so high up they lack any personal awareness is far too simple on the overall.

With regards to the Aedra and Daedra, though: Everything conscious arises from the interplay of Anu and Padhome, the space called the Grey Maybe where they meet. This is where the original et'Ada came from, Lorkhan and Aka included, and so no single entity capable of experiencing itself can be said to be wholly Anuic or wholly Padhomaic. HOWEVER, it is possible for an entity to be heavily aligned to one of the two - Lorkhan being essentially the son or direct descendant of Padhome, Aka the same with Anu, and so forth. The Aedra are, as a rule, more Anuic, whilst the Daedra are more Padhomaic. There are always exceptions, of course, especially because the Aedra are dead-dreaming and subject to the myths of mortals. It would certainly be possible to dream up an aspect of Aka, for instance, that was more Padhomaic than one might expect (you might even suggest that Alduin became this entity).

The Space God is THE Padomaic god, and he most definitely is Aedric.

That being said, I'll follow the Space god in all his incarnations, be it Shor, Lorkhan, Shezarr or even the Brotherhood's delusional interpretation of Sithis. Denigrating Shor to brutal force, or Lorkhan to cunning and guile is myopic cultural bias; the Space God's endeavour requires one to look beyond such half-truths and distortions.

Now I'm tempted to create a TES-variant of a Sufi poet.

...

why are all my TES characters poets?
