Since the only games that I currently have are TES, that's all that I can use for reference at this time. :hehe:
I seem to prefer characters that sneak around and try to avoid direct combat, but uses magic for ranged assault (and occasionally close quarters), and wears light armour and uses (one hand) long blades with deadly precision. I'd say 'nightblade' class, but they also employ marksman and seem to prefer short blades for sneak attacks. :ninja:

:dead:
Short blades are mainly used for the discreetness and swiftness of use, however if the same can be possibly accomplished with a long blade then all the same. Long blades are probably omitted from nightblades list of skills for also including bulkier types of swords. Marksman is also there for more choices of assassination from a distance. My 2 cents. :P

my kind of play is forceful but controlled, which explains why in some multiplayer games (im looking at you MAG) i can easily go from precise placement (taking out snipers with a reflex sight fitted assault rifle, scares the living hell out of em) to juggernaut of fury (best gun only streak in one life was 11 kills, they threw 7 at me to stop me)

I can say im confident, calm but at times, a little wild in my playing

My play style is a flexable one, I like to be able to fill any role my team needs me to be.
For I like outsmarting my foes, working with a solid group to change an unfavorable, outnumbered situations into a crushing victory that will break our enemies determination to fight us. Making our enemies desperate and stupid, trying to get that one kill causing them to fumble us more leverage. I also like doing this in an non "cheesy" matter so we can also hold the moral high ground.

RPG wise it's usually a Rogue I roll first up,stealth is good.Mage is my second option and a Warrior is not a option for me,they bore the [censored] out of me.

I gravitate towards different characteristics depending upon the genre, I suppose.

In FPS/TPS, I generally play an assault rifle type. Semi-automatic or bolt action if it's there.

In single character RPGs, I usually develop a bow and arrow/short sword type with little or no(if possible) magic.

In party RPGs, I usually develop the ranged units first, the magic users second, and the melee last.

In RTS, I like to go cavalry-type and heavy infantry.

In story-based RPG, I try to go the closest thing towards an evil assassin-prosttute as possible.

The guy that tries to use tactics but is too slow using them he just turns into a run 'n' gun guy right before rage quiting before further failings

I like to be the jack of all trades, master of none. I prefer character styles involved with lockpicking and long ranger combat as opposed to up close run n' gun stuff. I also tend to be that slow and thorough player, in games like dead island, I'd kick every corpse I ran across just to ensure it wasnt a faux corpse.

Tankzorz

Unless there's guns. Then I like something with a good balance for most situations.

My favorite style is the manipulative-illustionist class. If there isn't a class like that, I always go for the stealth-hunter classes. :)

Another Tom Berenger if it's FPS.

Otherwise it's TWS radar mode and Aim 120's or Dogfight mode and Aim 9's.

For Morrowind I play a Female Reguard Potter. Nuts to the classes. I'm a potter.

I'm a "finesse" player. I play light and fast and I use weapons that fit that style. Sometimes it's stealth, sometimes it's charm, sometimes it's run-and-gun, sometimes it's melee. I'll do a little of everything in any given game, as long as I can do it with grace and look stylish at the same time.

Traditional fantasy I normally play a ranged mage. I don't like getting my hands dirty and would much rather destroy things with a fireball, from a distance. Actually when it comes to modern era/sci fi stuff I'm surprisingly similar. I generally have a preference for either a sniper or a stealthy explosives expert. Id rather they just saw my character out of the corner of their eye as their legs blow out from underneath them. :shifty:

I tend to make my characters like Master Chief. I'm good with most weapons and can use them effectively, and when I need to I can just run and gun at my enemies and I usually win.

Stealth is overrated.

If I play shooters I always use burst-fire rifles. Always.
I like burst fire over automatic guns for greater range and precision, over sniper rifles as snipers aren't useful at closer quarters, and over explosives for stealth and to prevent firendly fire.
I also tend to spare my ammo as much as possible, usually taking out foes with only a few carefully placed bullets.

If I play first person sword and sorcery like Skyrim, I usually prefer being a sneaky archer. It's just something with the gameplay, and I love to commit "perfect crimes".

Otherwise I tend to play strategy games, both real time and not, so it's a bit hard to mention any specific style in that department.

In fps games i usually use rocker launchers and machine guns, and use stealth some times. Some times i run-and- gun.
In TF2 most of the time i am an engineer my favorite class.
In rpg,s like Fallout 3 it depends.Mostly i run-and gun , sometimes use melee and rarely use unarmed.
I haven,t played any fighting games so i can,t comment on that.

It depends on the game really. But I usually go with the option that I feel gives me the most tactical options. In shooter games I usually like SMGs the best.

In shooters I always conserve ammo and pick the one hit kill shots. Even with SMG's or assault rifles I go with controlled bursts.

RPG's, I love using magic. I also go for the melee toon with heavy armor or sometimes the light ranger.

Depends really.

I like power. In roleplaying games, I often find myself struggling with doing either good things or getting more power.
In more linear games, I still like power. But am terrible at strategy, sadly. Thus playing a power-hungry, chaotic neutral sorcerer, politician or fast, agile king-wizardslayer.

Glass Cannon

..or something that's quick and evasive, but not necessarily stealthy.

Dark Knight in Final Fantasy XI was perhaps the best example of a glass cannon I've ever seen. Capable of dishing out absurd amounts of damage, with abilities that literally drain your life and make it nearly impossible for the enemy to focus on anyone but you, all on top of paper thin defense. Samurai and Ranger could also do some nice damage, but didn't need a dedicated healer the moment they drew their weapons.

As for the latter, Final Fantasy XI again. NInja was dual weilding low delay weapons, had abilities to further reduce delay, loaded up on Haste gear and shadow tanked (ninjutsu, copy images that absorbed attacks).

Plenty of games have powerful classes like that, which is what I usually end up playing (either melee or ranged), but I haven't seen anything that's quite like FFXI's Ninja. Kinda disappointing, really. I never play mage characters.

Sneak/spike. In most games I try to stay out of sight until I can set up an attack wherein I can do as much damage as possible quickly...hopefully killing my target before they can react. Depending on the game this usually leads to equipment or character choices that result in good stealth, good offense, and weak defense (if I'm doing it right I shouldn't need defense).
