What made you laugh today in Skyrim?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 2:25 am

A couple of things - standing talking to the Legate when he had an arrow sticking straight out of his forehead, that didn't seem to worry him in the slightest.

My horse charging into a fort, up the battlement stairs and along the battlements, chasing and attacking an archer. Not something you see every day.

Dark Brotherhood Spoiler.
Spoiler
I had to embrace the Night Mother. I went into her coffin and snuggled up to survive. Gross but funny.

Noob question: How do you create the spoiler tag?

Put [ spoiler] at the start of the spoiler and then when you finish the spoiler end it with [ /spoiler]. Just remove the space after the first [ because if I didn't put one it would become the spoiler tags.

Bears are scary. Especially in pairs, they can kill you fast, especially if you're like me and don't usually block. (I'm more of a dual-wielder/spellsword on most of my characters)
You know what's even scarier?
Three. bloody. Frost. Trolls. Near a certain Daedric shrine, near Windhelm. Lucky that the character I was playing was a very high level so I took them down pretty easily. Can't imagine what it would look like if I stumbled on them on a lower level.
Even on level 46 they were pretty hard. When I first ran across them, I died almost instantly. Worst part, J'Zargo was even playing back-up to me. I had to dance in big circles around J'Zargo so we would both be able to deal damage at the same time.

It's funny when the most docile and whimpy NPCs gather around a fight shouting things like "12 Septims on the big one," or "DRIVE THAT SNOWBACK TO THE GROUND!"
A little while ago, I've had the "12 septims on the big one" quote when fighting my first ancient dragon. I was really like "thanks pal".

During a random rampage of me in Windhelm, I encounter the "blood on the ice"-quest lady, saying "Be wary, the butcher can get you at anytime" or something.
I paused a few seconds, pulled out my "you don't say" face and smacked her on the ground :D

I was enjoying a glimpse of dawnstar from atop some rocks, I hear a man yelling behind me and I turn around to see Stenvar swinging his battle axe and sending an enemy flying off the cliff. The man was one of the local miners; his buddy was coming to get revenge. Stenvar then swung his axe and it connected, he start running away screaming as he was being chased, I was lucky enough to watch it and it gave me a good laugh.

I did the quest for Louis Letrush some time ago, so every now and then I'll see him run nearby and get assaulted by a thug over and over again. But last time I saw him he didn't meet with a thug. I was just walking down a quiet back road in the hills of the Reach when he came charging past me. Out of mild curiosity I followed him a bit until I could see him again, at which point I just watched him head off into the sunset... up and over the hills... down a steep slope... and out of sight. A solemn, jogging enigma.

Almost like he knows he's going to get owned again and wants to avoid it.

After I'd witnessed Louis Letrush get pulverised by that thug, I found him outside of Whiterun speaking to a hired thug along with his twin brother, Louis Letrush, who was talking to the Hired Thug's twin brother. There was a synchronised death.

I downloaded a Player Home mod for Riverwood and to get inside there was a short quest. Near the end I found a journal and all I'm going to say is that;
The "Took an arrow in the knee" jokes have NOT died out!

Last night, my character (Bosmer archer) paid a cordial visit to the Thalmor embassy. Following an interesting evening, she returned to Solitude to pick up Janessa at the stables. They were confronted by a Thalmor wizard who seemed displeased with my character's embassy visit. During the ensuing battle, a lone Solitude guard ran away from the area of the fight. After the death of the wizard, the guard returned and knelt down over the wizard's body. As my character walked over the guard stood up and said "Damned shame" and walked away. I had a good laugh over that one.

I fought an epic battle with a dragon outside of Windhelm. I was close to taking all his health and I was close to death. Knowing he was a fire breather, I quickly ran to the river and dove in, thinking I could use a water breathing potion and stay under long enough to get my health back so I can finally kill him. Wrong, he fried me underwater. I forgot that that dragon shouts are magical.

Arriving at a Forsworn redoubt Niamh discovered one of them sharpening the head of a nord on a grindstone, the head was still attached to the nord's body and he was lying across the top.
It was kind of awesome.
