What if the Dwemer came back?

Then I'd stab the [censored] out of them for what they done to their own cousins the Falmer. Even though I'm a Nord (whole elf thing) I thought that was pretty low.

Only as the enemy  . As an evil race looking to take over Tamriel and make slaves of all the other races.

MK doesn't count? Is that because he makes the world more interesting than all the other Tolkienesque dullness out there and people don't like that? [Must have Dwarves, with beards, natch, can't have guns (tough cannon are in lore), why not have tall fair good elves as well, people are comfortable with that, and no spaceships, computers or anything else that doesn't fit with all the fantasy books of the last half century that are all the same, thank God for people like Moorcock, who dare to be different]

The Dwemer, they ain't coming back, because they planned it so they they wouldn't come back by making a tower that denies the possibility of time within it's skin. They wanted out, forever, no you're not getting into the Next Kalpa Nightclub you're name is not on the list out, and they didn't think they would want to look back. If they returned it would be the basest common denominator fan service they could manage. TES lore is rich and interesting and different. Apparently that's not good enough. Apparently it should be the same old one dimensional dullness that pervades fantasy to a shocking degree. Let's make it fit the mold, NO, LET'S DON'T.

Funnily enough I always imagined the Dwemer had reached such a point of technological advancement where they left Nirn and settled another planet. So maybe spaceships in Skyrim aren't so farfetched.

You do realize Nords drove them there in the first place? You do also know that Nords helped destroy Ayleids another gone race, or according to some turned into the Goblins we see in Oblivion?

Are you going to stab them too?

Spaceships aren't far fetched at all. Though I doubt you'll ever see them in game. But that's not what happened to them, they all turned into a big stompy robot.

Yes the Nords drove them there during a war, WHICH THE FALMER STARTED..

As for the Ayelids, well perhaps they shouldn't have enslaved thousands of humans.

The Falmer started the war? The Nords came into a contintent that didn't belong to them in the first place...

Anyway, doesn't really matter who started it. Wars can be ended with something else then total destruction and the Nords weren't great big fans of that.

In all of the Elder Scrolls games the Dwemer were always one of the most interesting and unknown races. It seems that every time someone gets close to finding out what Happened to them something ends up going wrong. But what do you think would happen if the Dwemer suddenly came back.

I think that if the Dwemer suddenly reappeared in Mundus, that the Aldmeri Dominion would collectively pinch off a golden brick the size of White Gold Tower...

No no no no.. Firstly Nord lore states that Nords originated in Skyrim, settled in Atmora, then travelled back to Skyrim many, many, many generations later, which would actually make them the original inhabitants of Skyrim. Also how does the land not belong to them ? Do Dunmer not have the right to settle in Skyrim then ?

And yes they did start it, relations were peaceful at first until the Falmer sacked Saarthal, the Nords drove them off and made them pay dearly for this act of aggression. Some say the Falmer attacked Saarthal due to the Nords high birth rate, others say it was due to a great power that lay hidden in Saarthal's depths, maybe both.

Also I stabbed many a goblin in Cyrodiil. Would do the same if I seen any in Skyrim.

They left Skyrim and returned, does that mean that if I go to a restaurant at opening night I will always have the right towards a certain table? Or can others claim it as well?

Why the war started is assumed by many, I was kinda just being annoying there. But truth remains that we can never be entirely sure as to why something happened. Maybe a Nord killed a Falmer and fled into Saarthal and diplomatic relationships crashed, maybe the Nords claimed to much land, maybe the Falmer just wanted slaves like their Ayleid cousins... Who knows, but the Nords slaughtered the Falmer whole, driving the survivors into Dwemer hands. They aren't the nice guys in this story

Actually you don't know, because it has never been explained in-game. MK doesn't count.

Actually, and in actualhttp://www.imperial-library.info/content/tower this is word of god
You can like it, you can hate it, you can work against it, but it is canon.

The endevour Dwemereth is exactly like that Thalmori.
They only have different paths.
Both want to transcend the world, both have realised that the Mundus is a tool to facilitate ascenscion.

Not really the major king or commander of the dwarves before the falmer rebellion was launced instead of losing there entire race he forfeited by tapping some crystal and the transported to anthores realm , planet or anthore universe no one knows but that mage in Skyrim in fact he could bring them back in a DLC to follow later on just a though unlucky that dwarve in Morrowind died due to red mountain Explosion Or he could possibly be alive due to Corpse's syndrom if im right that expands your life but making you weaker , And we didnt know how long a dwarves live span was

I never said the Nords were the good guys. I just think the Dwemer's hands are by far the bloodiest, blinding and enslaving their own cousins when they were close to exctinction.

You are not understanding the mythic act.

Dwemereth realised that creation was subgradient. They were unsound with knowing to be five or fifty or five-hundred creational gradients below the divine. Their experiments sought un-creation. They sought hyper-gradience.

In the end Kagrenac collected their endevour into the Numidium.
Like all Dwemer metal is made of souls, Numidium was special alltogether. Powered by Lorkhans heart, chimed by the Tools of Creation they were going to up-gradiate into its metal flesh.
Instead of thousands down below, they would become one, up above.

It is a big giant no to Lorkhan, a refutation of the originial plan.
Where the Mundus is a tool of creation for the individual to reach CHIM, Dwemereth decided to skip all that and just go back to what was.

All hell would break lose, and [censored]storms would rain like no other. Unless by 'the dwemer return' it actually means 'the Numidium walks on Mundus again."

Which would pretty much be the same thing. Dragonbreaks can't be pretty.

Still though how do we know there is no way out of the Numidium. Also I forgot where it was written but it's been said that Yagrum is starting to gain memory back so if he's still alive it could be very very important.

The dwemer vanished when they struck the Heart of Lorkhan and tried to ascend to Godhood, chances are they just were permanently destroyed or absorbed into the heart, but if they did come back that would be pretty crazy, even in this Era their technology is still superior to some of what the other races have, I would love to see if they waged war on the continent or if they were just a civilization again.

Hopefully in the next Scrolls game 1 of Dwemer or Falmer come back. It's Elder Scrolls, I'm sure they could find a way. Personally I would like to play as a Snow Elf, that's just me though.
