What would Skyrim Smell like?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:15 pm

That's India. Islam has a thing about being 'clean' (hence why they don't eat Pork or drink alcohol), so they probably were more clean than Western Crusaders.

EDIT: Not that Indians are dirty.

But that was the whole source of the law about cutting off a thief's right hand...the other hand was "unclean" (both literally and figuratively)

like snow :D

you know.... that smell the earth gets when snow starts to melt just a little and is still stacked on the mountian tops all around you

also I would imagine the burned wood smell and iron/metalic odor from the pyers and forges those have very strong smells indeed

in the woods the smell will be mostly that of the trees, wild flowers, and decaying leaves

u watch too much lame holywood XD

in islam a socity does not have to suffer jails, thats right in islam the punishment is instant if u are proven a thief (hard solid evidence) u get your hand chopped of, if you are a cold blooded murderer u get your head chopped off of you beat someone just for fun you get whipped in public ...etc

jails just make more criminals and more problems, BUT in islam you are allowed the freedom to form whatever socity laws you wish (wrong or right does not matter) and you will suffer the results.

and no the left hand is not UN-clean becuase in islam u have to wash yourself, left right up down ..etc actually smelling good and being clean is a VERY important thing in islam (hell in an religion) its just that left in general, and this is a cultural thing not religeous, is considered a "bad" side and right is good.

but in islam its just symbolic that your right side is where an angel looms and records all your good deeds and on your left another angel records your bad ones.

Talking about Islam, Christianism, budahism and ....;
When a muslem, christian, budahi or a jew do something wrong, It doesn't mean that the wrong thing is actually from his/her religion.
It's also true about the governments. we've got this problem in our country. the government do anything and says "It is religious". but that's not true. there is freedom for a human to choose what he/she want to believe and to do.
.......................................
everybody is clean in this era. no matter what the religion is! I am myself a muslem but I think hygiene does not related to religion. please do not insult anyone for anything! thank you.

Unless you want to worship Talos in the Empire.

I don't see many Christian churches in Saudi Arabia, either...The government definitely has an influence on religion, either by staying out of the way (USA/Britain/Canada) or outlawing some religions (Just about everywhere else)

Most cities and towns would smell deeply of horse dung and such.. the stuff would tend to pile up massively because of how many horses a typical city had.

Tanneries had a nightmarish smell to them and every village had one.. Same with most dyers and such.

But as you would have grown up with this you wouldnt smell any of it.

I think that is something bigger than "influence"!
I am sick of being controlled in everything. for God sake just look at our internet! I can't see the links to youtube here. because it's filtered! I wonder if there was internet at 1400 years before; when the Islam turned up!
I am sick of the deference between the Islamic texts and the behavior of the government!
and that's why I feel the skyrim as it is. I feel the cruelness in that.

I think so. maybe we can just compare it with a real village.

I find it amazing that some people managed to turn a "What would Skyrim smell like" thread into complaining. Lol.

yes! I don't like complaining. but I'm really tired of this kind of living.
anyway, Human being has a potential to turn everything to a thinking pad! (or complaining pad!)

you know guys, talking about myself, I don't know but I can't hate anyone because of what he/she is. I really love every kind of culture. I don't like to judge anyone. maybe it's so far, but I love to think about a peaceful life for everyone. as Roger Waters says:
"... and no one kills the children anymore."
and I think the key to this kind of world is to forget the deferences and keep our believes for ourself and our individual life.

That's an ideal world to live in. I would like for the world to be that way, but I don't ever think it will. But there is such a thing as hope. :)

I like how in A Song of Ice and Fire, King's Landing (the capital city) is described as smelling so bad that you could feel it from several miles outside the city. This was probably what it was like in some places. I certainly hope that Solitude doesn't smell like that though

People would stink, but the air would be nice and clean - although the lack of bathrooms would lead to deffecation everywhere - :sadvaultboy:
Ever noticed the stools and buckets?
