What do you think is the scariest enemy in Skyrim?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 7:29 pm

Now I'd agree here that scary in this game is what it looks like, but you find it...or it finds you.

The scariest creature then is definitely the dwarven spider drone worker thing. Dropping from the freaking ceiling right on top of me! And then you run away cuz ur a ranged character and it scared the F**K out of you! So you finally turn around and there's a swarm of at least 10 of them and at least 2 guardian sphere drones. So then I say, F**K this S**T and start to run away, but then there's 3 chaurus in front of me with an army of falmer!! XO

Of course, then I go nuke nuke nuke with mah Fireballz and its all chill. And so many soul gems (which I never use)! ^.^

If you want to play a game that can be "scary", try out Stalker :Shadow of Chernobyl.

Fallout 3 has and always been the scariest Bethesda's game I ever played. I never liked the idea of walking in dark alleys with Pip-boy as my only light source and a Feral Ghoul suddenly screamed and starts running at me.

I. Hate. Feral Ghouls.

And Radroaches.
Dead Space is definitely your game.

The Sabretooth

Not scary but is the only silent stalker.even the first attack is silent unless you're watching your meter or have boethia's armour.

you are not alone. There was nothing more scary than to walk trough a dark building and then hear the scream of a ghoul and than their footsteps.

I agree with the corrupted shade because when I first saw them I thought I had saw every enemy in the game. So I wasnt concerned until I realized they were enemies and looked like damn grim reapers. Are they only in one location? I havent seen them anywhere else since.

I wish Bethesda did more with Hagravens. Sometimes you have to go into a little room to pull a lever or something and I always pray when i turn around there will be a Hagraven standing there making that creepy breathing sound.

Chaurus themselves aren't that scary, but the clicking noise they make give me the creeps a little. Ever been to the lighthouse between Dawnstar and Winterhold?

I guess it was the OCD in me, but I was gagging the entire time I ran around that place and collected every_charus_egg in the joint. The sound you make from... blech reaching into their EGG SACKS just gives me the creeps.

In terms of actual human physical reaction to the game, the most "scary" would be the Sabre Cat. I have jumped several times when being ninja'd by them.

Vampire Ancients in Daggerfall were pretty damn scary, considering if you didn't have a powerful Spell Reflect up, they could easily kill you before you even knew what hit you, even at high levels. You'd be walking through a dungeon, walk past a corridor, and BAM suddenly your dipping towards the floor with no health, and the last thing you see is the feet of a Vampire Ancient.

Btw, did those Corrupted Shades yell out "VENGEANCE!"? Like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFeN5-M8GR8

Daggerfall actually had some good gotcha value to it, I remember the nightblades who loved to jump out behind corners and cast in your face. It also used sound well, remember the skeleton in Privateers hold? I remember hearing it on my first character and was like holy SH*T what is THAT!!!? Of course the aweseome surrond sound my friend had might of had something to do with it. I also just remembered the crazy Daedra that would randomly spawn on top of you out of oblivion.

I really haven't been startled in Skyrim, I think because the majority of time I am in sneak so the icon changes when noticed, aslo the music kind of gives it away. For scary looking Dragon Lords, Hargravens, and the Wraiths are pretty good.

night mother is creepy. The undead a couple of times before my sneak got high followed me silently and boy did I jump. And the silent "WTF" when the Falmer are walking next to you without you knowing.

When the Dwarven Centurians are in their frame thingies, that scares me, I turn sneak mode on, wearing Ebony Mail and shrouded boots with 100 sneak and all perks, and forget all about the falmer, and they notice me. Soon as I'm done with them, I hear the steps of the robot and realize I only killed 3 out of 5 Falmer on the floor, that scares me a bit.

And the first time I was in Bleak Falls Barrow and that big spider comes down infront of Arvel, that got me, even though I had watched it in the gameplay demos.

Nothing, because the restoration school overcomes all.

But if I had to pick one, I'd say. . . The Draguar (sp).

That was my scariest moment. Totally wasn't expecting it to come out like that. I really did scream.

Draguar when they get out of their crypts. The sound they make always makes me twitch whether I'm expecting it or not. Closest I'm been to actually being scared in Skyrim.
