What's your current opinion of BioWare?

I hated all the characters in DA2. That emo mage, the promiscuous pirate woman, the dwarf, that shy blood magic elf, all of them.

You hated VARRIC?? I've literally never known anyone who didn't love Varric...

In some ways, I think he might be the worst character in it; it's because of his tall tales that anyone thinks that that useless putz, Hawke, is actually a hero.

They've seriously tarnished their image with Dragon Age 2 and the awful SWTOR. Not played ME3 yet so can't judge them on that.

i enjoy their games, i don't really buy their dlc usually. I hope they continue making good games.

Also mass effect is one of my favorite game series, they did a cool thing bringing in your choices from past games, i can't wait for the extended ending to less stupidfy the current ending

I loved Dragon Age: Origins. DA2 was a big disappointment for me however (Surprise!). I've had DA:2 for over 6 months and still haven't managed to finish up the main story plot yet. I've never played any Mass Effect game so I cant comment on any of those.

I don't really have a strong opinion of Bioware one way or the other.

Once upon a time they where fantastic, you knew when a Bioware title was coming out its was going to be interesting.
However they just seem to have lost there way, if its EA or some other influence i dont know.

I lost all faith in them once they released SWTOR. So much potential but instead they went for the MMO cash cow.

From the games I've played of theirs, they're doing fine and should continue what they are doing.

Bioware were an amazing developer when they were trading.

Alas, they don't exist anymore.

They became "EA Bioware" when EA bought them and that's when it all went downhill.

Dissapointed with the "Mass Effect" series.

The first one was one of the most amazing games I've ever played.

In the 2nd one you were so amazed you were carrying on the game as your original character from the first game that you were really invested in the character... so much so that the first time round you really didn't notice how much of the RPG elements, loot and gear they'd stripped away.

"Mass Effect 3" is a game that I've just gotten bored of playing.

I think of them as below average

I am really disappointed with what they did with Warhammer Online. It was pretty awesome, but there are so many reasons...

A shot in the dark.

some of their games have been great, others have been bad.

Or they make great universe and then .... it up with the latest sequel somehow.

I would have stayed if it wasn't of my financial situation. But then too many in the game had complained so much of the bugs and the poor engine performance. It was a fantastic game until they were being compared too much with WoW. Of course, a lot of those who didn't, compared it with DAoC, which in many ways was a lot more fun than WAR. Not saying WAR didn't had its own merits, but it was a potentially best MMO strategy RPG ever imo that had gone down hill because of bad words of mouth.

As long as they apply the three-wave attacks with a bit more restraint instead of using them every bloody time! I'd be glad to never see them again, really. I am concerned about area re-use, which was one of DA:O's weaknesses too (you'd see the same few wilderness areas repeated often, for example, and there were only two(?) street layouts for Denerim besides major areas like the market) but which was really terrible in DA2. I'm sceptical that it'll properly be addressed since it's the sort of thing that takes time to develop properly, and time isn't something that fits in well with EA's "out the door as soon as possible" strategy where they'd have yearly releases if at all possible.
I've heard that the DLC for DA2 has a really nice balance of waves, non-waves, and other encounter types, while also taking the time to give most of the waves logical spawn-points. I don't know if this is true or not though, since I haven't bothered to play the DLC yet.

Anyway, for all those who say that they love Origins and hate ][, this reminds me of a question: how on earth did you tolerate the mind-numbing boredom of the deep roads and the other marathon dungeons of Origins? I really feel like the only difference between the dungeons in O and ][ is that O had ten tilesets and made you visit them each once, for five hours of mindless combat, whereas ][ had ten tilesets, and made you visit them each twenty times, for 15 minutes of combat.
