What's "Your" Game?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 3:41 am

Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3...also Soul Calibur. Back when people used to go to arcades and challenge each other for control of the machine I played these games a lot. A few months ago I was at a place that had an old MK1 machine and a friend of a friend claimed he was unbeatable. I thrashed him to bits in 8 of 9 matches, and he got lucky on the one he won. I guess maybe he's unbeatable by amateurs. I still got it.

I'm not much for card games. I clean up at board games like Buzzword or pretty much anything Password-like. I'm psychic.

I once finished PoP in less than 20 minutes, does that count?
I was also pretty good at Stunts :D

Complaining and being pissed off at the world. The devil wouldn't challenge me to a fight. I'm angrier than even him. I'd win by default.

Yes, I just poked some fun at myself.

On a more serious note, I'd like to say BF2 Support class. Back in the day I was pretty kickass at that game in that class. On the Karkand map I'd sit on the rooftop nearest the water and snipe dudes on the mountain with the SAW. There were so many maps I'd just camp and provide support for my team. I'd make use off the snipers on my squad too. If I was on a rooftop I'd have one follow me up and drop his claymores at the top of the ladder and one at the base. Then I'd drop an ammo pack down for him. When I heard the first one blow I'd now it was getting close to the time I'd need to leave. After the second one blew I'd jump off the building and run to a new hidey hole. There were times that the other team would completely ignore everyone on my team just to find where I was hiding so they could kill me. Fun times were had when I played that game. I loved it. Too bad I couldn't get the same enjoyment out of BF3; damn game wouldn't run on my new rig.

Video Game:

Tekken (if I'm using Law. Only on one occasion was I ever defeated. It was by my economics teacher, playing as Lei. He was a champion at Tekken 3 when he was younger. Double Perfect. It was... mind blowing.)
Mortal Kombat (if I'm using Scorpion. And we're playing 2 on 2 and my friend has Sub Zero, I pity the fool who stands in our path.)
Street Fighter (if I'm using either Ryu or Ken, though I never stray from Ryu)
GTA IV (Topping me online was impossibru... Unless it was a race of some sort.)

I'm fairly good at CoD as well, given the right class. Only people I know who could top me in the scoreboards were a couple guys on my friends list.

Card game:

Blackjack (only other ones I know are poker and go-fish, and I'm only good at this one.)

Board game:

Don't know if it counts as a board game, but... Connect 4. If that doesn't count then, well, I'm decent at most games, not particularly good at any.

Video game:
GTA IV: I have been called the master of the drive by. I only ever played Free Mode and I would only kill people who had it coming. The Cavalcade FXT is a near perfect vehicle for drive byes.
Gears of War 1/2: I used to be incredible at this series with my brother. We beat the first on Insane almost easily and we were well on our way to beating two on Insane, but I guess lack of practice has watered down our skills.

Card Game:
Liver Pool Rummy

Board Game:
Monopoly

Video games - BF3 and Unreal Tournament 3 (haven't lost a match in the latter).

Card games - Castle

Don't really play board games.

Video Game: Probally Halo Reach, until I start to get board and do stuff I typically don't, like using abilities other than sprint.

Card Game - Spades

Board Game Probally none, but I enjoy risk.

Console: Timesplitters 2
Card: Always been a fan of Whist.
Board: Checkers(I learned the impossible to lose strategy around 8 or 9. The worst you can do is stalemate.)

I am freakishly good at Morrowind (just being a good player in general, smart about leveling and skills, etc), Halo: Reach, and Halo 3. I am just exceedingly good at those games. I am an amazing sniper in Halo. If I get the sniper, we will win the game. I generally get a Be the Bullet medal (15 kills in a row with a sniper weapon without dying) every single game if it's a long enough game. I generally go +15 k/d spread. I love it too.

Video game:

Gears of War (The original)

I could shotgun dance my way through a whole enemy team and blow them all to pieces - that was my first game on Xbox live and I played it into the ground.

Card Game:
I'm terrible at most.

Board Game:
Risk! It's awesome.

Card game: Freecell. I never, ever lose. Ever. I guess it helps that I can take as much time as I want to solve any game though.

I'm pretty good at playing the original Deus Ex stealthily, going through large parts of missions without being detected at all. Without screwing up and reloading the game that is.

Of course that's against AI whose eyes have the view distance of Morrowind on the Xbox and the FOV of Call of Duty.

I've never played the multiplayer for it, but Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge on the highest difficulty was just too easy for me.

I'd kick the devil's behind in games like Europa Universalis, Civilization and Football Manager.

I'm afraid I'll lose the card game.. I'm decent at some, but that's it.

In the board game, he may challenge me to Risk or chess.

Street Fighter (if I'm using either Ryu or Ken, though I never stray from Ryu)

That's almost cheating.

Board Game:
Monopoly

I'm not much of a competitive game player and so don't have a whole lot of experience or particular expertise with any game, but I was pretty good at Battlefront II against my brother (though that's not saying much; R.I.P. Pandemic Studios :() and I dabbled a bit with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood's online multiplayer and, much to my surprise, consistently came across as one of the top players (anyone with the PS3 version of Brotherhood or Revelations ever looking to play a round or two, I could use the company).

As far as single-player games I'm really good at... the list is too long.

This is true ^ I've been looking at your screenshots and I'm pretty sure that theoretical physics are simpler than that game

Computer game- oh, dear, I'm useless. Virtua Fighter V is about the only game that isn't single player only that I don't svck at.

Card game- Mhing, it's like Mah Jong with a card deck instead of tiles.

Board game- got to be good old risk.

Board Game: I tend to do well at Scrabble, though sometimes you get crappy hands ( four "i"s, an "e", and an "n" )
Video Game: Halo (any). I'm quite good compared to Xbox Live (though not anywhere near Rippon or similar people) My friends and I have sniper matches of 3 vs. me: each match to 50 lasts an hour or two, it's epic.. Also, Wii Golf. I can't golf in real life, but I dominate on the Wii.
Card Game: I'm quite good at Texas Hold 'Em, that is to say, compared to my friends and what they know about it, which is very little. (ie, odds of making a hand out of what you are dealt, etc.)
